Tonight! THE BREAKFAST BUNCH - Victorious

Tonight! It's finally here. Tonight is the premiere of the most unusual Victorious episode ever: The Breakfast Bunch. The late John Hughes is one of my favorite directors, and almost everyone knows his iconic 1985 hit film, The Breakfast Club.

Well, one day I was looking at the Victorious cast, and I thought we could do a fun, silly, wacky episode as a tribute to The Breakfast Club. And that's exactly what we did!

Tonight! iCarly: "iStill Psycho" - Comment Here...

Happy New Year, everyone! If you're staying in tonight, I hope you'll watch the very last new iCarly special of 2011: iStill Psycho.

It's sort of "a sequel" to iPyscho, the episode where crazy Nora trapped the iCarly crew in her basement... until Gibby finally came to their rescue (and an epic fight scene ensued between Nora and Gibby).

Tonight brings you the all new one-hour special, iStill Psycho. Hopefully, it will make you laugh a lot, and be the perfect way to end 2011 and start 2012 with a big smile on your face. :)

I'll be checking in here throughout the day, as will the iCarly stars and writers. This is a great place to discuss the episode and leave comments!

NEW EPISODES & MORE! iCarly & Victorious

Hey! Dan Schneider here, typing this on a relaxing Sunday morning. I've been getting LOTS of people online asking when certain iCarly and Victorious episodes will be on TV. So, here are some answers for you…

(After you read all this, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW!)

This month (December) has great stuff coming up...

VICTORIOUS: Monday, December 26th at 7:00pm – It's the premiere of "Blooptorious" – the first every Victorious blooper episode. You need to watch this, trust me. Not only will you see the best bloopers since the very beginning of Victorious, you also get to see what might be the weirdest "talk show" in the history of talk shows. Here's a hint: REX. Here's another hint: CHRISTOPHER CANE (you'll understand soon).

When you see this "talk show" blooper episode of Victorious, some of you will (I hope) love it… and others might think I've lost my mind. Haha. It's weird and, we think, hilarious. I'm really looking forward to hearing what you guys think of it. Let me know! :)

iCARLY: Wednesday, December 28th at 7:00pm – Remember iBloop? That was the first iCarly blooper episode (if you never saw it, you can download it by CLICKING HERE). Well, on Wednesday, December 28th you get to see the next iCarly blooper episode which is titled "iBloop 2: Electric Bloop-a-loo" (not many of the younger viewers will get the title reference, but hopefully a few of you will).

This new blooper episode of iCarly is just as weird as the Victorious blooper episode. The bloopers are hilarious, and the "talk show" format is one of the most insane things I've ever written/produced. For now, let's just say it's a very, very, very different way of doing a blooper episode. I think (hope) you'll love it and laugh your eyebrows off (they'll grow back). iCARLY SPECIAL EVENT! "iStill Pyscho" – on NEW YEAR'S EVE! Yep, for the first time ever, there's all all new iCarly one-hour special on New Year's Eve (starting at 8:00pm). This is the "sequel" to iPsycho, one of the most popular iCarly specials of all time. If you haven't see the original iPsycho, you can download it by CLICKING HERE.

The original iPsycho had one of the best TV fight scenes EVER between Gibby and crazed iCarly fan, Nora Dershlit. Well, in iStill Psycho, the iCarly gang tangles with Nora again.

As much as I loved how the first iPsycho came out, I like this new one even more! The actress who plays Nora is brilliantly funny, and this time we add in a lot of T-Bo and Mrs. Benson, and even Spencer becomes a victim of Nora's wrath.

And yes, "Maurice the chicken" makes a trimphant return in this sequel. Oh… and there's a BIG reference to a first season iCarly episode, iFence. You just might get to see a Benson handle a sword again…. but I don't want to give too much away here. :)

AFTER THE NEW YEAR…

2012 has LOTS of cool stuff coming! The first thing is a new episode of iCarly called "iBalls" (think "eyeballs"). I'm actually in editing right now, working on it. Want some hints about the episode? Okay! Just highlight the area below (between the two rows of blue equal signs) and you'll see some secret info about "iBalls"! SPOILER ALERT...

Freddie decides he wants to be a CREATIVE member of the iCarly team (not just the tech producer). He wants to perform on the show.

NEXT...

Early in the year you'll see an episode of Victorious that parodies an iconic movie from the 1980's. I don't know if it's cool for me to tell you which movie it is... but it might be The Breakfast Club. Maybe. Just maybe. Check out this pic, below…

And there's an iCarly special event episode which features an AMAZING GUEST STAR. Again, I don't want to say too much here, but she might… just might be a very cool, influentical woman that just might be married to the President of the United States. This is an iCarly episode that will be seen my many millions of people all over the world, so you probably don't want to miss this one. :)

And soon, on an upcoming episode of Victorious, you'll hear the freakishly talented Leon Thomas perform a song he wrote and produced himself. It's called "Countdown" and it's 1,000,000% AWESOME.

Okay, that should be enough to keep us busy over the holidays and the beginning of January. I'm really looking forward to your feedback on these episodes – I love hearing what makes you guys smile and laugh the most.

As for now, I'm staying VERY BUSY because I'm in production on both iCarly and Victorious at the same time. It's been really interesting so far. I'm spending part of my days in a room with the iCarly writers, coming up with new episodes… and then I spend the other part of my day in a room with the Victorious writers, doing the same.

And soon, I'll be filming them both at the same time. It's going to be a wild and wacky (and BUSY) 2012, but I'm really looking forward to all the action and comedy.

I feel incredibily lucky because I love working on both iCarly and Victorious. I swear, the casts of these shows are made up of the most talented, nicest, coolest people you could ever meet: Matt Bennett ("Robbie"), Miranda Cosgrove ("Carly"), Liz Gillies ("Jade"), Ariana Grande ("Cat"), Avan Jogia ("Beck"), Victoria Justice ("Tori"), Nathan Kress ("Freddie"), Jennette McCurdy ("Sam"), Daniella Monet ("Trina"), Noah Munck ("Gibby"), Leon Thomas ("Andre"), and of course Jerry Trainor ("Spencer").

If you ever happen to check out my YouTube videos, you'll get a little taste of the fun we all have on set, every day.

Finally, a huge THANK YOU to the FANS of both these shows. The enthusiam, support, and loyatly we get from you guys truly motivates us to keep making even funnier episodes. We love making you laugh, so thank you for tuning in and giving us the opportunity to do that.

And before I go, here's a fun little piece of news for you…

In 2012, I might be creating a brand new TV series for you. Yep. After All That… and Kenan & Kel… and The Amanda Show… and Drake & Josh… and What I Like About You… and Zoey 101… and iCarly… and Victorious… (whew!)… I'm thinking the time might be right to start filming a new TV show.

It's funny… I hear lots of rumors about what my next show will be about. I read stuff online, and I even hear rumors spread by people in my world… but none of the rumors are true. I think you'll be very surprised and excited by my next TV series. More on that to come in the weeks ahead...

Ahhh! Dan Schneider, here. I'm sorry it's been a while since my last update here.

Since October I've been busier than ever. We've been filming new episodes of Victorious and prepping for new episodes of iCarly, which will begin production soon. It's always a challenge to film two TV series at once. Getting ready for double-production takes a lot of prep work.

I also (recently) took an A-MAZING trip to London and Paris. Wow. I'd never been to either of those countries before and I had such a fun time. Oh, and get this: The day I returned to America, I woke up, had breakfast in Paris, lunch in London, and dinner in Los Angeles! I thought that was pretty cool chiz for a boy born and raised in Tennessee :)

And I've been working on another couple of projects (not iCarly or Victorious) that you'll see in the not-too-distant future. Get psyched!

So, that's why I haven't written stuff here for a while. Hopefully you've kept up by checking my Twitter, my Facebook, and my YouTube channel.

If you're here, you might be wondering what's coming next from Schneider's Bakery to your TV screens. Well........

New episodes of iCarly are coming! I don't have exact dates for you, but pretty soon you'll see an episode with a VERY VERY VERY special GUEST STAR. I'm not supposed to say who it is, but if you read stuff online, you probably already know. It's one of the most exciting episodes of iCarly we've ever made -- no lie!!!

And there's a hilarious NEW BLOOPER EPISODE of iCarly coming you're way, too. I'm calling it iBloop 2 - Electric Bloopaloo – because I'm weird with titles sometimes :)

And if that excites you, I think you're also going to be psyched about our first BLOOPER EPISODE of Victorious called Blooptorious.

I think iBloop 2 and Blooptorious will air back-to-back, but I'm not sure about that. I hope so – it will be a really fun hour of TV.

And soon you're going to see two of my favorite episodes of Victorious EVER.

The one you'll definitely see in December is our very first Victorious CHRISTMAS EPISODE. It's called A Christmas Tori, and it contains a new, original Christmas song with performance by Victoria (Tori), Liz (Jade), and Ariana (Cat).

The other Victorious episode you're going to see soon is of the most insane episodes of TV I've ever written and produced. It's soooo different – I hope you'll find it as hilarious as we all did. I don't want to give too much away, but here's a photo that MIGHT help you guess what the episode's about…

Okay, that's about all. I'm actually sitting in editing right now (as I type this) working on the Victorious Christmas episode. And while I'm doing that – while the editor makes his fixes – I'm working on an outline for a 60 or 90 minute iCarly special that MIGHT (and I did say "might") bring back one of the most popular TV show casts ever! I hope it'll happen. I think it will :)

As for the FUN FACTS, I love doing them – I just don't always have time. But I can almost guarantee you some fun facts for new episodes before this year ends. Dealio?

*** iLostMyMind ***

If you're here, reading this, I feel pretty sure you've already seen the previous iCarly episide – iOMG – the episode where, at the end, Sam suddenly kissed Freddie.

Now, before I go on, as I've said before: I usually don't talk about "seddie" and "creddie". But I do feel I should say this TO ALL FANS OF iCARLY: Please be nice to each other. That's really important to me, the cast, and everyone who works on the show.

Seeing our fans fight online really breaks our hearts. Disagreeing and debating is cool, but there's no need to be mean. Remember, we're all on team iCarly, so please, let's all respect each others' feelings. Deal? :)

I've learned over the years, there's no episode I will ever write and produce that every fan will love. That's just not possible. And even if I could write a TV show that way, it would be boring.

And please remember: iCarly, like almost all scripted TV shows, is a growing, evolving story. I'm the executive producer – the "showrunner" – and even I don't know what will happen in future episodes (beyond the ones we've already filmed).

Where will the main characters end up? What will the situations be? No one knows. Those creative directions will be discussed and decided upon by me, the other writer/producers, and even the stars of iCarly. Yep, we listen to ideas from the actors themselves, and often incorporate them into our storylines.

Okay, you people don't want any more of my yammerin'! You want FUN FACTS! Well, you got 'em. Here we go...

*** Scene 1 ***

Scene begins in Carly and Spencer's apartment, with Spencer trying very hard to put on a pair of jeans.

• This is why Jerry Trainor is so brilliant. All the script said was something like: SPENCER IS TRYING TO PUT ON A PAIR OF JEANS THAT ARE WAY TOO SMALL FOR HIM. You could give that same stage direction to any actor, but very few have the skill to take something so simple and make it hilarious. Jerry's the kind of actor who take almost any idea and turn it into something brilliantly funny – which is exactly what he does here, simply trying to put on a pair of pants. It's a great way to kick off the episode.

• As Carly lets you know in her opening dialogue, iLostMyMind picks up 3 days after iOMG ended. I know you fans have had to wait a long time, but in "iCarly land" it's just 72 hours later. And Sam Puckett is missing!

• "Butt slabs" – I made up that term. I've never heard it before. It just popped out of my weird head. I was happy because, last night, I showed this episode to my wife Lisa (a.k.a. Hungry Girl), and she laughed when Spencer said "butt slabs". Mission accomplished. :)

• You'll hear Spencer use the phrase "in ways I can't understand". This is a little wink to one of my old characters, Coach Kreeton, from All That (the first TV series I ever wrote and produced). Coach Kreeton would always get upset and yell, "Daagghh! Aw, you've upset me in ways I can't understand!" Now, you'll hear Spencer say it to Carly in this scene.

• Freddie walks in holding his Pear Phone. You guys have no idea how many times a day fans ask me where they can buy a Pear Phone. I wish they sold them somewhere! But they don't. About 18 months ago, I told our genius propmaster CHRIS that I'd love it if our Pear Phones could actually be shaped like pears. And then Chris made it happen. I think the Pear Phones first appeared in iParty With Victorious, but I could be wrong about that. If I am, let me know in the comments below and I'll correct it here. UPDATE: A fan named "Sarah" says the Pear-shaped phones first appeared in the Victorious episode "Ice Cream for Kesha" – can anyone confirm that?

• I think you'll love Freddie's reaction when Carly lets him know that she saw him get kissed by Sam. Look at the shock in his eyes! (Remember, in iOMG, we the audience saw Carly watch the Sam-Freddie kiss happen – but Freddie and Sam didn't know Carly saw it.)

• Fun piece of trivia: When we filmed iOMG, I shot the Sam-Freddie kiss two ways. In one version, Carly wasn't there – she never saw the kiss happen. In the other version, Carly is there and witnesses the kiss. I filmed that ending both ways because, at that time, we hadn't yet written the next episode, and we weren't sure if we wanted Carly to have witnessed the kiss or not. Obviously, we went with version two, where Carly sees it happen.

• There was much debate among me, the writers, and even the cast as to what Carly's reaction should be to the kiss. Excitement? Jealously? Anger? Happiness? It was a carefully weighed decision. I think Miranda plays this scene extremely well (as she always does!). I particularly like how she delivers her line, "Is this a new chapter in our lives – what is goin' on?"

• A couple of years ago, when I lost my iPhone, my nephew Ben showed me how to find it by going online. I thought it was so cool! So, I used that technology here in this scene, with Sam's Pear Phone, as a way for Carly and Freddie to find Sam's location. Pretty smart of Freddie to think of that (and of course Carly would know Sam's password).

• I'm sure some fans will ask me what Sam's "icky" password is. Even Miranda, Nathan, and Jennette kept asking me. Yes, in my brain, I do know what Sam's password is, but that's only in my brain. You'll have to use your imaginations. By watching this scene, at least you'll know how many characters it is. ;)

• I love the how the computer screen looks when Freddie does the search for Sam's phone. Our visual effects guru, David, is amazing! It bugs me when I watch TV shows and the computer stuff looks fake. We try really hard at Schneider's Bakery to make all things tech-related look as real as possible.

• I love the way Nathan delivers his line, "I have to click the items!" – and, by the way, that line was not in the script – I added it on stage while we were filming this scene. It's very much the kind of thing my wife Lisa would say. :)

• "Troubled Waters" – a little nod to the great Simon & Garfunkel.

• I don't know why, but the way Noah "Gibby" Munck delivers his line, "Yes!" makes me laugh every time.

• It was not scripted for the elderly lady to blast Spencer's eyes with pepper spray. I thought of that on stage, while we were filming the scene. Luckily, we have the best prop department in television, and they were able to find a prop pepper spray can in just a few minutes. I'm glad, because it gave us a really funny ending to this scene.

*** NEW OPENING CREDITS!!! ***

• Yep! Every time we begin a new season of iCarly, we have new opening credits (the visual images you see when the theme song plays). I hope you like these new ones! Tell me which shots you like best. I think I'm going to make some small changes, which you'll see in the next episode after iLostMyMind.

• What do you think of the new first shot when i C a r l y is typed into the web browser? Can you identify all the changes??? Do you like the new screen???

• I kind of love how Spencer's blowtorch takes us to the iCarly logo. That's another cool visual effect by David. Thanks, David!

• When you see starring Miranda Cosgrove and she's wearing a red shirt with a black jacket – and she's laughing – she's NOT being Carly there. That's a shot "stolen" from between takes, when Miranda was laughing at something happening on set.

• Many of the video images you'll see in the opening credits are from future episodes. Which shots intrigue you most???

• Like with Miranda's main shot... when you see Jennette McCurdy and she's wearing blue/multi-colored plain shirt – and she's laughing – she's NOT being Sam there. That's a shot "stolen" from between takes, when Jennette was laughing at something that had gone wrong in a scene.

• When you see Carly and Freddie, standing side-by-side, "wiggling" as they bend at their knees... that's not a real shot from an episode. That was just Miranda and Nathan goofing around between takes.

• YES! The BUTTER SOCK makes it into the opening credits! YES!

• How freakin' COOL is the shot of Nathan Kress when he rocks his shoulders, then flips up his camera? I love that shot. So does Nathan! He was psyched when I showed it to him.

• Who can spot DanWarp in the opening credits? Watch closely – it's not on screen for very long.

• Gibby's shots are awesome. Flying with colorful wings... kissing his own severed head... wearing a tuxedo and dancing with chicken legs. Hmmm. iCarly's a weird little show, isn't it? ;)

• I just had to keep the shot where Spencer and the ostrich are yawning. Every new season, I think about losing that shot... and I just can't do it. It's too good. And guess what: I have the actual tie Jerry wore in that shot!

• You know the shot where Carly tosses her blue cowboy hat into the air? The "Mary Tyler Moore" shot, as we call it at Schneider's Bakery? I've always wondered about the 2 girls on either side of Miranda in that shot – the one with black hair in the green shirt, and the one wearing the big fuzzy multi-colored hat. Those girls were background players (sometimes called "extras") in that one scene from the pilot. They never knew, back in early 2007, that they would end up being in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE OF iCARLY. I wonder if they hear about it a lot in their personal lives. Hey girls, if you're reading this, let me know! I want to interview you two! Call me at Nickelodeon!

• I really like the final shot of the cast eating the giant submarine sandwich. When we asked for that prop, it was the same day we shot that footage. But no place in Hollywood could make us a 6-foot long sub that fast – they all said they needed 24 hours, but we needed to shoot it that day. So, again, our amazing prop department created that sandwich by "joining" smaller subs. That's why, in the shot, you see a piece of the bread fall off under Miranda. I love how the actors stayed in the scene, not even reacting to the falling bread.

• By the way, when they all bite the big sandwich, that's not a shot from an episode. We shot that specifically for the opening credits. If you could hear the audio, you'd hear me (off screen) yelling, "Okay, and on three, everyone take a bite of the sandwich. One... two... THREE!" Maybe one day I'll post that online, with the real audio – might be fun for you to see.

*** Scene 2 ***
This scene begins with Carly and Freddie walking into a hospital called Troubled Waters.

• As you'll see, this episode was directed by Steve Hoefer, who also directed the pilot of iCarly, and the Victorious pilot, too. Steve usually directs our "big" episodes, movies, and specials. For example, he directed the recent Victorious special "Locked Up". Steve is amazingly talented and we all love him. His last name is pronounced like "Hayfer" – which is where I got the name for the teacher "Mrs. Hayfer" on Drake & Josh.

• If you can, try to read some of the signs on the wall at Troubled Water. The signs say some pretty funny stuff.

• Surprise! This is the first scene where we see our INSANELY GREAT guest star in this episode – the one – the only – JIM PARSONS, star of The Big Bang Theory. He's won the Emmy twice for his role of "Sheldon" on The Big Bang Theory, and we were lucky enough to get him to guest star on iCarly.

Jim was not only brilliantly funny and professional to work with, but just soooooo nice! Everyone on set loved having Jim at iCarly. He's hysterical in this episode as a guy who's sure he's from the year 2077. (Maybe he really is?)

It was also nice because my close friend Steve Molaro hung out with me on set all day while we filmed Jim's scenes. Steve is an executive producer on The Big Bang Theory now – but for several years he worked with me on All That, The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, and other projects. Steve is one of the most gifted comedy writers working in the entertainment business. He contributed a lot to this episode – for free! I should probably take him out for lobster or something. I'll do it!

• There's no such thing as "barilium nitrate and four metric tons of ionized quadrazine" – I made that up. Sounds good, right?!

• There's also no such thing as "neutronium cotton" – I made that up, too. :)

• When Jim Parsons says "Kick my thighs" please notice the sign on the wall next to him. That sign will probably make you laugh.

• I bet nobody can identify the cartoon playing on the TV set. Can you? Hmmm? Hmmm?

• Pretty daring of Noah "Gibby" Munck to take that big leap over the counter and it the floor, wasn't it? Or... was it a stunt double? Watch closely. What do you think?

*** Scene 3 ***
Scene begins in Sam's room at Troubled Waters with Carly walking in, looking for her.

• How do you like Sam's FINGER PAINTING? Guess what: I have that actual painting right here, in my house! I took it home after we filmed this episode. I'm going to have it framed, and then I'll display it on a wall in my house. But I need Jennette to sign it at the bottom, first. Should I have her sign it as Jennette McCurdy or Sam Puckett???

*** Scene 4 ***
Scene begins in the main room at Troubled Waters with the cop asking the nurse "What happened?"

• Keep your eye on the TV screen up in the corner. Who knows what TV show that is? Who's that adorable girl on TV? HINT: I love her!!!

• The actress who plays "Miss Pelvin" (the nurse) did a wonderful job in this episode. She's really talented and funny.

• I think you'll find the scenes with Gibby and Jim Parsons really cute and laugh-out-loud funny (I hope so!). They were so great together. The crew laughed a lot, which is usually a good sign. :)

• Yeah, I know I over-use the smiley-face emoticon. Oh well. :)

*** Scene 5 ***
Scene begins back in Sam's room at Troubled Waters, as Carly and Sam talk and argue.

• Of course, Sam has no trouble grabbing Carly and easily over-powering her. Carly Shay vs. Sam Puckett – not much of a fight.

• And now... for the first time since the kiss... Freddie enters and sees Sam, face-to-face. Dun dun dunnnnn!!!

• Don't you love that Sam hasn't washed her hands since "yesterday" – ya gotta love that Sam Puckett.

• Sam makes a major confession in this scene, to Freddie. I can't even tell you here. It's too big to type! Ahhhhh!

• I don't know why, but I just absolutely love how Sam delivers her line, "Uh, actually let's never talk about it, all right?" – Jennette is such a great actor.

• I also love the moment between Freddie and Sam where Sam says "Off" (without even looking at Freddie). Awesome moment.

• As I sit here watching this, I'm just thinking what a great scene this is between Sam and Freddie. Funny... sweet... emotional. Applause to Jennette and Nathan!

• Freddie's last line in this scene – "Sure" – was not in the script. I added that on stage, while we were filming this scene.

*** Scene 6 ***
Scene begins in the main room at Troubled Waters with Carly, Gibby, and Jim Parsons all sitting at a table, talking.

• After Jim tells Gibby that, in the year 2041, the entire state of California falls into the ocean, I think you'll laugh at Gibby's next line.

• Cheers to our art department (production design) for the super-cool automatic steel doors at Troubled Waters. It's so cool how they come down, locking the place down so no one can exit.

• I also think that you might laugh at Sam response to the cop's question, "Where's your father?"

Scene begins in Carly and Spencer's kitchen – Spencer is talking to a bunch of ladies.

• Yep, it's the first return of Spencer's "book club ladies" who were first seen in iParty With Victorious. By the way, we're premiering the FULL, UNCUT version of iParty With Victorious very soon, and you'll see more footage from the book club ladies scene that was cut from the original 90 minute version.

• There were more funny lines about the book club ladies exchanging recipes and making fruit tarts, but they had to be cut, for time. Bummer. But no worries – we'll bring the book club ladies back! Maybe Spencer should get manicures/pedicures with them one day. Hmmm?

• At the end of this scene, even the way Jerry stands at the elevator is funny. How does that guy make standing, waiting for an elevator funny? Genius, that guy.

*** Scene 8 ***
Scene begins in the main room at Troubled Waters, with Jim Parsons and Carly sitting at a table together.

• In the original script, it was some other patient at Troubled Waters that was going to be laughing at the TV that isn't on... but then someone said, "Why don't we give that bit to Jim?" And we did. :)

• This scene marks the second time we've seen Spencer dressed as a woman on iCarly. Who can identify the first episode where that happened?

• Do you think our hair and makeup department did a good job making Spencer look like Sam's mom? Tell us what you think!

• I'm curious to know – since Sam checked herself in to Troubled Waters, should she have been allowed to leave on her own, even though she's a minor (not yet 18)? What do you think?

• How GREAT is that big man's voice – the guy who says "You let 'em do iCarly here, or I'll tell everybody your secret"? I love that guy's voice. Especially when he says, "You know".

*** Scene 9 ***
Scene begins in the main room at Troubled Waters, with the gang about to start the iCarly web show.

• This scene starts with Jim Parsons and Jerry Trainor talking about Jim's "neutronium pants". This is great because Jerry and Jim are two of the funniest adult actors in the world – and you get to see them act together here, in iLostMyMind. Pretty awesome, yeah?

• Jim is actually wearing a special "stunt shield" on his thigh (under his pants leg), so it didn't hurt too bad when Jerry kicked him hard.

• After Jim drops to the floor (after Jerry kicks his thigh), Jim says two things that were not in the script. First he says, "I didn't even feel that" – and then he says "Don't touch it". We added those 2 lines on stage as we filmed this scene. Steve Molaro came up with "I didn't even feel that" and then I came up with "Don't touch it". It was fantastic to hang out and work with my friend Steve, just like we did together over 10 years ago on The Amanda Show (and the many other shows we worked on together). I really miss having him around on a daily basis. But at least I get to watch his work every week on The Big Bang Theory. Go Steve!

• WHY does that woman have a steering wheel?!?!

• If you'll notice, Gibby enters this scene, says a couple of quick lines, then exits, and never returns. Why? Because Noah is under 16 years old, so we have a limit on how much time we get him (for work) each day. We didn't have enough time shoot this whole scene with Noah, so I wrote him a quick entrance and exit. If we could've had more time with him, I'd have put him in this whole scene.

• A new Penny-T! Angry Towel – I thought of that, and even I don't know what it means! Haha.

• I absolutely love the moment when Jim Parsons talks about the merging of Virginia and West Virginia. I don't know why, but it kills me. Jim is so great.

• Who recognizes Goopy Gilbert??? He was in a previous episode of iCarly – do you know which once? We love the way he yells! P.S. He's lost about 80 pounds since his last iCarly appearance!

• This scene is about to get REALLY dramatic. Like, majorly. Wow.

• Note the sign on the wall by Freddie: Only Bite Food – advice we should all live by.

• It was not in the script for Jim Parsons to have Q-Tips in this scene. When we were filming it, and going to Jim for reaction shots, I felt he should be doing something more interesting than just sitting there, listening. So, I grabbed some Q-Tips and handed them to Jim. Maybe he and Stacey Dillsen should get together! The Zoey 101 fans will understand that reference :)

• And as Sam herself points out in this scene, this is Freddie's big chance to humiliate Sam, live on the web, in front of millions of people. It's Freddie's chance to get back at Sam for all the mean things she's ever done to him. The question is... what will he do with this opportunity, live on the web? I can't tell you here. Please trust me – it'll be better if you watch the episode. I promise :)

iCarly: iLost My Mind - FUN FACTS COMING!!!

Yo-dee-ho! It's 6:20am in Hollywood and I'm sitting here with my laptop, just finishing up my work on the new opening for the new season of iCarly. (By "opening" I mean the video clips that go along with the theme song.)

As most of you know, this Saturday night (August 13th) is the premiere of the NEW episode iLost My Mind, which is sort of a "sequel" to iOMG, the episode that ended with the shocking Sam-kisses-Freddie moment.

iLost My Mind picks up where iOMG left off. I think it will blow your guys' minds in a very good way. And... it guest stars two-time Emmy Award winning actor Jim Parsons, the star of The Big Bang Theory – he's hilarious in iLost My Mind.

iParty With Victorious: 2-HOUR VERSION

iParty With Victorious – the FULL 2-HOUR VERSION. When I first started writing iParty With Victorious, there was always some question as to whether the network wanted it to be a 3-parter (90 minutes) or a 4-parter (2 hours).

As we filmed, I would think of fun stuff that wasn't in the script, and I would add it on the stage. Then we'd film it. So, we easily ended up with enough footage to create a FOUR-part television event.

But for various reasons, it was decided that iParty With Victorious should be a 3-parter (90 minute) special, and that's how it aired on June 11th. BUT… since it was watched by 8.7 million people (a HUGE rating), we all decided that we should give the fans MORE.

So, for the past couple of weeks, I've been back in the editing room PUTTING BACK all the stuff that we edited out! THAT MEANS… sometime soon (in the next couple of months, for sure), Nickelodeon will be airing the FULL TWO-HOUR VERSION of iParty With Victorious! Yep. :)

Blooptorious

Blooptorious – Remember iBloop, the iCarly blooper episode? It was really popular, so we decided to make blooper episodes a more regular thing. Blooptorious is the first Victorious blooper episode, and it's coming very soon! All I can tell you is… it's kind of outrageous, and… this episode has become one of the all-time FAVORITE episodes of the cast, crew, and staff at Schneider's Bakery.

It's a weird, simply, hilarious premise, and I feel 99.999% sure it will make you laugh until orange juice comes out of your nose (assuming, of course, that you're drinking orange juice while you're watching it).

If orange juice comes out of your nose and you're NOT drinking orange juice, see your doctor immediately.

Victorious: LOCKED UP

Victorious: LOCKED UP – This is a special one-hour Victorious movie that we think you'll love. First, the plot is outrageous, and just really funny (I hope you agree!) And like Freak The Freak Out… Victorious: LOCKED UP features TWO major music performances: One is a new original song called All I Want Is Everything, an AMAZING song by Victoria Justice.

When I first heard the song (a demo) I said to myself "Okay, that's a huge hit." Later, after Victoria recorded the song, it was even more incredible. And there's another awesome song that will be performed in Victorious: LOCKED UP – it's a POP CLASSIC, but I'll keep it a surprise for a while.

iLost My Mind

iLost My Mind – This is the very exciting and hilarious "sequel" to iOMG. If you've been wondering, "So what happens now that Sam suddenly kissed Freddie" then you do NOT want to miss iLost My Mind. And... iLost My Mind will guest star the nuclear-talented star of The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons!

Also, iLost My Mind will lead to three more new iCarly episodes that we think you should put in the "MUST SEE" category. Their current titles are iDate Sam and Freddie… iCan't Take It… and iLove You.

These are the first four episodes we filmed of the new iCarly season. During production, the writers and I often heard the staff and crew say, "These may be the best iCarly episodes we've ever done." Of course, you guys (the fans) will be the judge of that, but we all feel great about these episodes, because we think you're going to laugh hard, and really enjoy the storylines.

Oh, and if you're a "shipper" – don't go freakin' out on us! Whether you're a Seddie or a Creddie, trust us – you'll have plenty to be happy about in the future of iCarly :)

iStill Psycho

iStill Psycho – One of the iCarly episodes I hear about (from fans) most is iPsycho. For whatever reason, it got a huge rating and, to this day, when I meet iCarly fans, they often mention iPsycho as one of their favorite episodes.

It's one of my faves, too. I loved working with Danielle Morrow (a.k.a. "Nora Dershlit") – and the fight between her and Gibby was epic, don't you think? Anyway, I was thinking about iPsycho a while ago, and I said to myself, "Hey, why not make a 'sequel' to it?" – which is exactly what we did. It's INSANE! In fact, one scene is so intese and crazy, it took us a WHOLE DAY just to film the one scene. I feel almost positive you guys are gonna LOVE iStill Psycho.

iMeet The First Lady

iMeet The First Lady – You've probably heard about this one. Very recently, we had the honor and pleasure of hosting First Lady, Michelle Obama at Schneider's Bakery, where we filmed an UBER COOL episode featuring Mrs. Obama, as herself. It was an incredible week of filming for all of us at iCarly.

And not only did we get to work with Mrs. Obama, I also cast my good friend Taran Killam as a Secret Service agent. I first worked with Taran when he played "Spaulding" in Moody's Point (The Amanda Show), and now Taran is one of the best players on Saturday Night Live. It was great working with him again.

ALSO… guess WHO ELSE makes a little cameo appearance in iMeet The First Lady. Can you guess? Hint: It's the FIRST time it's ever happened on iCarly. ;)

NEW VICTORIOUS SOUNDTRACK

Finally... this summer, the NEW VICTORIOUS SOUNDTRACK comes out! I think you're going to be blown away by it. There will be a total of 13 songs, and not even one is "filler". The soundtrack will include all of the best Victorious songs by Victoria Justice... and Leon Thomas... the complete version of "Give It Up" by Liz Gillies & Ariana Grande... and even a full version of "Broken Glass" by Matt Bennett. I've been listening to the whole album for the past few weeks, and I think it's amazing. Hope you do, too!

Yo-ho! As most of you know, I'm giving away 3 show props to some fans who watched iParty With Victorious and then correctly answered 7 questions about the show. Thousands of people guessed (writing in to us at DanWarp@gmail.com), but fewer than 50 people got the answers right to all 7 questions.

Here are the questions and the correct answers:

Question #1: In iParty With Victorious, two characters mention "soup" – which two characters?

Answer: Cat and Jade  (Cat says it from her talking headband, at school, right after Lane walks away. Jade says it at the party when talking about being in a jacuzzi.)

Question #2: What popular TV show from the 1970's is loosely referenced?

Answer: Lavern & Shirley – we also accepted The Muppet Show since Sam rapped the line "You look more like a rejected muppet" (After Rex raps against Sam, he says "Your turn Laverne" – and Sam responds "Back up Shirley)

Question #3: There were references to two TV shows I've produced in the past. What two shows?

Answer: All That and Drake & Josh (Kenan says that "half the cast of the original All That" have asked him for money. And Gibby wears a Drake & Josh hat to the party)

A few people guessed Kenan & Kel, but that show was never mentioned in iParty With Victorious. Yes, Kenan Thompson guest starred, but the show Kenan & Kel was never referenced)

Question #4: Two characters are wearing shirts with peace signs on them. Which two characters?

Answer: Carly and Mabel (Carly wears one to the party, as does the little girl that Trina brought, whose name was Mabel)

Question #5: There are 3 websites mentioned in iParty With Victorious (ending in "dot com"). What are the 3 websites?

Answer:   iCarly.com – TheSlap.com – TweenPants.com (Those are the only 3 websites mentioned or shown)

Question #6: If you watch ALL of iParty With Victorious, you'll see two of the characters holding corn dogs. Which two characters?

Answer: Beck and Jade (This was a tough one! You can see Beck and Jade holding corn dogs in their hands during the opening theme song)

Question #7: How many followers does Rex have?

Answer: 68,143 (Another tough question. But you can clearly see this number of followers on the computer screen when Sam is researching Steven on TheSlap.com)

Yoho! The huge iCarly-Victorious crossover special called iParty With Victorious first aired last night on Nickelodeon.

To celebrate this epic television event, I want to do something cool for the awesome FANS who loyally support both shows. :)

I decided it would be fun to give away THREE PROPS that were used in the actual filming of iParty With Victorious!

Here are the 3 props I will be giving away...

#1 – One of the two radios that Spencer (Jerry Trainor) is holding during the whole first scene of the show:

If you haven't heard, there's a HUGE iCarly-Victorious CROSSOVER EVENT coming to television on the night of June 11th. It's called iParty With Victorious. It's a 90-minute special and I think you're going to LOVE it if you're a fan of iCarly, or Victorious, or both.

I'm also happy to announce that, guest starring in the crossover event is the one and only Sir Kenan Thompson! This marks the first time I've worked with my dear friend Kenan since the days we made All That, Kenan & Kel, and Good Burger together.

iCarly - iOMG - What Happens NEXT...

Hey iCarly fans! It's been a few weeks now since iOMG first hit your TV screens. As we all know, that episode had a big surprise ending – Sam grabbed Freddie and gave him a SERIOUS KISS.

Since then, many of you have been asking if the Sam-Freddie storyline will continue. The answer to that question is… YES! :)

Usually, the episodes we make of iCarly and Victorious (and my others TV series before them) are "single episodes" – meaning, we don't do continuing storylines over several episodes.

But this time IT'S DIFFERENT.

Now, I don't want to give too much away, but I will give you iCarly fans some exciting news…

When the new season of iCarly begins, we will be picking up right where iOMG left off!!!

So, if you're curious to learn how Freddie felt about being kissed by Sam, and if you want to see more about that Sam and Freddie storyline, I think you're going to find the new season of iCarly very interesting.

• Did Freddie like the kiss?
• Is Sam happy she kissed Freddie?
• Will they talk about it?
• Will they deal with it?
• Will they fight?
• Will they kiss again?
• Will they become boyfriend-girlfriend?
• If they do become boyfriend-girlfriend, will it last?
• How does Carly feel about the situation?
• Will things eventually be back to normal?
• Will Freddie somehow end up dating Carly?
• Will Gibby make friends with a live duck?

If these questions excite you, I think you're going to find the new season of iCarly a lot of fun to watch.

And we're also extremely excited about the iCarly-Victorious crossover event called iParty With Victorious – which airs in just DAYS – Saturday night, June 11th. It's a huge, 90-minute special event that features BOTH ENTIRE CASTS of iCarly and Victorious.

It's incredibly fun – we think you're going to have a blast watching it. And as you've probably heard, guest starring in iParty With Victorious is the one and only Sir Kenan Thompson! This marks the first time I've worked with my friend Kenan since the days we made All That, Kenan & Kel, and Good Burger together.

Now, please understand, iParty With Victorious was made before iOMG was made – BEFORE Sam kissed Freddie. So, when you watch iParty With Victorious, there will be lots of funny stuff with Sam and Freddie, but nothing to do with the big kiss from iOMG.

BUT GET READY to see what does happen after the Sam-Freddie kiss when the new season of iCarly begins. I don't have the exact dates yet, but I think the new iCarly episodes will start airing a few weeks after iParty With Victorious. I'll post updates when the network lets me know the definite air schedule for the new iCarly episodes.

The Casts of iCarly & Victorious Going to Memphis May 14th!

Hey everyone! I have some big, cool news!

You can come meet all the stars of iCarly and Victorious in Memphis on May 14th! How can this be?!? I'll explain...

I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. I love my hometown for lots of reasons. One of the things that makes me most proud of Memphis is that it's the home of St. Jude Children's Hospital – the world leader in helping kids battle cancer.

I enjoy most everything about making television. I like the fun and the challenges. Making people laugh – especially kids & teens – is one of the things I love most in the world. And one of the things I dislike most is seeing a young person who's sick.

St. Jude Children's Hospital works extremely hard to help sick kids. I want to help, too. So...

Several months ago, I went to both my current casts -- the stars of both iCarly and Victorious. I said, "How would you guys like to take a trip with me to my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, to help kids by helping St. Jude Children's Hospital?"

I'm proud to say that every single one of "my" stars said ABSOLUTELY. They all wanted to come on the trip. Not one of them asked for a "personal appearance" fee. Not one asked for first class plane tickets or fancy hotel suites. They didn't want anything but the opportunity to come to Memphis to help raise money and awareness for kids who are sick and need help.

So, we're all converging in Memphis on the weekend of May 14th. Miranda Cosgrove… Jennette McCurdy... Nathan Kress... Jerry Trainor... Noah Munck... Victoria Justice... Leon Thomas... Matt Bennett... Liz Gillies... Ariana Grande... Avan Jogia... and Daniella Monet.

For you fans who don't know my shows so well, that's "Carly"… "Sam"… "Freddie"… "Spencer"… "Gibby"… "Tori"… "Andre"… "Robbie"... "Jade"… "Cat"… "Beck"… and "Trina".

*** iOMG ***

Some iCarly episodes are mostly about comedy – hilarious situations with (hopefully) big laughs. Other iCarly episodes are about character development – the relationships between Carly, Sam, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby. iOMG is an episode that contains BOTH, in a big way!

As most of you know, I usually don't talk about "seddie" and "creddie". But I do feel I should say this: TO ALL FANS OF iCARLY: Please be nice to each other. That's really important to me, the cast, and everyone who works on the show.

Seeing our fans fight online really breaks our hearts. Disagreeing and debating is cool, but there's no need to be mean. Remember, we're all on team iCarly, so please, let's all respect each others' feelings. Deal? :)

I've learned over the years, there's no episode I will ever write and produce that every fan will love. That's just not possible. And even if I could write a show that way, it would be boring.

Now, don't take what I just said as some "major clue" as to what happens in iOMG, because you don't know what's going to happen (unless you're hiding in my closet – and if you are, then please don't eat my pistachio nuts).

All you really know for sure is that Sam could be in love, as the promos indicate.

Also, even when you do learn what happens in iOMG, you still won't know what's happening in the next episode, or the ones after that.

I don't say that to "mess with your minds" or to be a tease. I say it to remind you that iCarly (like most scripted TV shows) is a growing, evolving story. And, as any good writer knows, you never want to be predictable. Twists and turns are what keeps shows exciting, right? Right?! Say right. Thank you. :)

I truly believe that iOMG is going to please lots of fans. It's an amazingly entertaining, fun, and exciting episode to watch. But if iOMG doesn't tickle your peach... please be patient! Maybe you'll be happier with the next iCarly episode, or the one after that.

Or maybe you won't. And then maybe you'll run into me at a restaurant somewhere and dump spaghetti in my lap. I hope that doesn't happen. But if it must, I ask only that you also dump lots of Parmesan cheese on top. Because I like a lot of Parmesan cheese. I also ask you for at least one meatball.

Okay, I've babbled enough. Now, here we go with the scene by scene Fun Facts...

*** Scene 1 ***

Scene begins in the school classroom with an arm wrestling match.

• Many fans have commented in the past about Freddie's arms. If you're a fan who happens to enjoy Freddie's biceps, you're gonna like how this episode begins. Here's a little preview:

• Notice Carly's new phone! It's the NEW PEAR PHONE from Schneider's Bakery (a.k.a. DanWarp). Many months ago, I went to our prop master, Chris (the best prop master in television, by the way). I asked him if we could actually make our phones in the shape of a pear.

Several weeks later, Chris returned with the coolest freakin' things I've ever seen: PEAR PHONES. Not only do they look incredibly cool, they fit great in your hand and against your ear! I swear. Ask any cast member of iCarly or Victorious. We all love them and wish we had real ones that actually worked! And that's not the only cool new device you're going to see in iOMG.

• Look who's back! It's Brad, the guy who almost got the job as iCarly's intern (assistant) in the episode iHire An Idiot – that is, until Carly and Sam decided to hire Cort instead. As you'll remember, Brad loves making fudge for people. He's a good looking, very likable guy who, um, might make a perfect boyfriend for some lucky girl. Maybe. Hmmmm.

• After the episode iGot A Hot Room, thousands of fans online asked me, "What did the goat do?!?" After iOMG, I have a feeling thousands of fans will be asking me, "What did Sam draw on Gibby's forehead?!?" Can you guess?

• I don't know why, but when Gibby yells, "Read the comments!!!" it makes me laugh out loud, every time. Holy chiz, Noah Munck is one funny kid.

*** Scene 2 ***
This scene begins with Carly and Sam doing their web show from the iCarly studio.

• I hope you like Carly, Sam, and Gibby's spoof of the Old Spice commercial "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like". We had fun doing it.

• One of the last changes I made to iOMG happened just yesterday (April 5th). I changed the sound the cow makes from a typical cow moo to a sheep sound-effect. So, when you see the episode, the cow will go "Bah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah". Why? I guess I just think it's funnier if a giant plastic cow makes a sheep noise, rather than a cow noise. Wow, I'm weird.

• Another shout-out to our awesome prop department for creating a bowling ball size BLOB of tuna salad. That's not as easy as it sounds!

• Why do I love my post production team so much? Because they add wonderful little touches to our shows, like the word BRAD that appears on screen. It was their idea to make the letters out of FUDGE. That is creative. Take a look:

• I love Miranda's hilarious delivery of her line, "We wasted your time!"

• If you want to know why Carly and Sam start chanting "Botswana" at the end of this iCarly web show, I have no idea. Miranda and Jennette improvised that themselves. Why? You'll have to ask them.

• A new PENNY-TEE on Freddie. If you want to know what it says, just use your mouse or trackpad to highlight between the two blue X's below:

• As you'll see, Gibby asks about the recipe for the tuna salad blob he loves. He wants to know if there's chopped celery in it. Brad tells him that it's not chopped celery – it's red onion. As it so happens, I prefer chopped onion in my tuna salad – I'm not a fan of celery. (Uh-oh... now the "pro-celery" iCarly fans are going to be furious with me. Yes, I've upset the celereddies.)

• Sam Puckett... volunteering to work on a school project? Hmmm. Seems unusual, doesn't it? As my friend Kenan Thompson might say... what-up wid dat?

*** Scene 3 ***
Scene begins in Carly's kitchen – Spencer is working with a fire extinguisher – which can't be good, can it?

• Okay, no kidding – one of my favorite things in this episode is Carly's snack in this scene. She casually gets a carrot out of the fridge, and munches on it as she chats with Spencer. But as you'll see, she puts whipped cream on the carrot. Yep, a friend of mine actually does that – she eats carrots with fat free whipped cream. It's insane. So, I had to put it on television. What I love most about it is that it's not even referenced in the scene. It just happens.

I think that stuff like that – little, weird, funny things that have nothing to do with the story – is what makes a show more interesting and fun to watch. :)

• Of course Spencer usually spends his Saturday night's watching Cops with Socko's grandmother. And hey... speaking of Socko... should we ever meet him on iCarly? I can't make up my mind.

• I probably shouldn't show you this, but it's a cool shot and I can't help it. And I did give AMPLE WARNING about spoiler alerts. How funny is this shot?

*** Scene 4 ***
Scene begins in Ridgeway High School at night, as we hear Principal Franklin make an announcement.

• I really love the character, Principal Franklin. I'm always happy when we have him on an iCarly episode. You won't see him in iOMG, but you will hear his voice. He's played by Tim Russ, an excellent actor and all-around great guy.

• You'll hear Principal Franklin end his announcement with the words, "Study hard and prosper" – that's a nod to the famous line spoken by Spock and all Vulcans on Star Trek, "Live long and prosper". This has special meaning here, because Tim Russ who plays Principal Franklin used to play the Vulcan "Tuvok" on Star Trek: Voyager. Take a look...

Yes, I'm a major Star Trek fan. Have been since I was little nerd. Still am, as a big nerd.

• Our production designers did an amazing job creating the "stimulus chamber" that's used to do psychological tests on Spencer. By the way, Jerry Trainor doesn't like doing scenes where he's trapped in small spaces... which is why I love writing stories where Spencer is trapped in small spaces. Hahaha. I love messin' with Jerry. He'll often say to me (jokingly), "So Dan, what horrible things are you planning for me in next week's episode?" :)

• Okay, I've gotta talk about the microphones that the actors use in this episode. When we wrote iOMG, I knew we needed microphones. And as you probably know, I like things on my shows to be different... unusual. So, I asked our prop master (Chris) if we could create a microphone that "lit up" in a cool color. I told him it wasn't necessary, but that if he could make that happen, it would look interesting and fun on TV. Well... as always, Chris came through. Look at the mic! It's really freakin' cool:

• And yet another cool new piece of technology in iOMG – the all new PEAR PAD! This isn't the giant rectangular Pear Pad you've seen in previous episodes of iCarly and Victorious. This is ALL NEW. Check it out...

• So, how do YOU feel about the Radio Dingo song, "It's Your Birthday"? If you hate it, that's a GOOD thing – you're supposed to. Spencer certainly does. :)

• Mood Face is an app that we made up for iOMG. The idea is, it analyzes your face, then tells you the mood you're feeling. Wouldn't it be awesome if such an app really existed and worked? Somebody work on that, okay?

• When Brad tapes the "faces" button, you'll see the app show many images of people's faces. Guess what. Those are the faces of actual people who work on iCarly and Victorious.

• Would YOU eat fresh guacamole that was made by Sam? Is Freddie right to be suspicious of her guacamole? Notice I took the time to create a special white arrow, pointing to Sam's fresh guacamole. That's how much I care. :)

• I must give a MAJOR SHOUT-OUT to DAVID, our visual-effects artist. He makes all Schneider's Bakery shows look amazing. But he really out-did himself in this episode, and especially in this scene. All the realistic images you see on the laptops, Pear Phone, and the Pear Pad... that's all David, and my post production team lead by Joe. Best in television.

• I love how Freddie says "I'm gonna see if Carly has any tissues" then runs out of the room. Nathan Kress is so funny on iCarly – and one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

*** Scene 5 ***
Scene begins in back in the classroom where Spencer is in the sensory stimulus chamber.

• Spencer does NOT say a dirty word in this scene. Even if you think he does, he doesn't. I can prove it!

• And here is the last shot you see before the commercial break...

Scene begins in the school hallway, with Carly running in, looking for Sam.

• Carly is very excited to talk to Sam about something, but what...

Note: In the above screen cap, Sam is holding a ham sandwich (with extra ham).

• Here's another shot from this scene. Jennette "Sam" McCurdy is one cool, funny chick...

• The conversation that Carly has with Freddie about "the horses" is one of my favorite little conversations ever, on iCarly. Extremely well played by Miranda and Nathan. Funny and adorable.

• Wait... what the fudge is going on HERE... ???

• You have to love a scene that ends with Gibby saying, "Sure. Always make Gibby clean the vomit out of the stimulus chamber.

*** Scene 7 ***
Scene begins in the classroom where Sam and Brad are working on their school project together.

• It seems Freddie has some news for everyone...

• In this scene, there is mention of a two-headed frog. It's true. But that's all I'm sayin' about it at this time.

• I love the way Miranda plays the end of this scene. The way she delivers her last line, the look on her face, the way she exits... PRICELESS. So great.

*** Scene 8 ***
This scene begins in the other classroom with Spencer pacing in the sensory stimulus chamber.

• The screen cap below shows Gibby saying a very funny line (to Spencer) in a foreign accent. Who will be the first fan who can identify WHAT FAMOUS MOVIE the line is referencing?

• In this scene, we again reference that Gibby loves liquid soap – that was first established in the episode iPity The Nevel.

• I don't want to tell you exactly what happens in this scene, but let's just say... if watching a guy get electrocuted by a bowl of chowder seems fun to you, then I think you'll enjoy this scene in iOMG. :)

• Miranda's dry delivery of her line, "Hey, what happened?" KILLS ME. So hysterical.

• This scene ends with a pretty intense conversation between Carly and Sam.

*** Scene 9 ***

Scene begins with Sam, sitting outside, drinking a bottle of water.

• At the beginning of this scene, notice the blowing leaves. It's a subtle thing, but I do it because I feel it gives the scene a sense of reality you often don't see in a sitcom.

• The way Nathan ("Freddie") delivers his line "Yeah you have!" in this scene makes me laugh out loud, every time.

• The two-word line "Hate, Sam" was not in the script. I added that on stage as we were filming this scene. Do you like it? :)

• It's not easy for an actor to say "You can threaten your double fist face dancing all you want" -- try saying that 5 times, quickly.

• Carly's expressions in this scene are both awesome and hilarious. Actually, great acting by THE WHOLE iCARLY CAST in iOMG. They were all great in season one of iCarly, but now... the way they play their characters is really brilliant.

• I'm not going to write much about what happens in this final scene of iOMG. All I'm going to say is... I think you should watch closely. Give it your full attention. I think you'll be glad you did. :)

Holy chiz! I gotta tell ya… when I first started writing the pilot script for iCarly, I never knew how great the response from the fans would be. I felt we had a good show, but I never expected iCarly to win Favorite TV Show back in 2009. We all felt so grateful for the love and support from the fans.

Then, I was surprised again when iCarly won the following year (2010), making it the Favorite TV show two years in a row.

And yesterday, iCarly was again voted Favorite TV Show for its THIRD consecutive year – a 3PEAT!

I don't know what else to say other than THANK YOU to the FANS of iCarly who love the show and keep showing us your enthusiasm, year after year.

We would have felt honored to win Favorite TV show once. Twice was amazing. But THREE times in a row? Unreal.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We start production on NEW episodes of iCarly in about a month, and we promise to continue working our butts off to make all the episodes as crazy, funny, and entertaining as you expect. The fans deserve our very best!!!

Also, I'm honored that iCarly was nominated with three other great shows this year -- Wizards, BTR, and Suite Life -- their fans are awesome, too!!! Congrats to the stars & writers of those shows for their success and nominations.

And HEY! SUPER-HUGE CONGRATS to Jennette McCurdy who won the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite TV sidekick!!! That girl is a brilliant performer about 9 different ways, and certainly deserves the recognition.

I also want to say how touched I was during Kids' Choice when both Miranda and Jennette gave me very nice shout-outs. I felt really proud (and so did my mom who was watching at home).

And how amazing did Miranda look at the KCAs! I love that kid! Six years ago, who would've though that little "Megan" from Drake & Josh could be the STAR of a show that would win fans' votes for Favorite TV Show, three years in a row?!? Miranda rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, soon I'll talk about iOMG – the next episode of iCarly – which airs this coming Saturday night (April 9th). But first, a few words about Victorious...

When I got home last night, I went online and saw SO MANY NICE COMMENTS about the new episode of Victorious called Beggin' On Your Knees, which premiered right after the KCAs.

I'm psyched that so many of you liked the new opening credits... and the new Pear Phone... and the new song Beggin' On Your Knees. The fans' response has been incredible.

Victoria Justice tapped to star in 'Fun Size'

Paramount comedy directed by Josh Schwartz

Exclusive: Paramount has offered Victoria Justice the lead role in Josh Schwartz's edgy coming of age comedy "Fun Size."

The star of the Nickelodeon show "Victorious" beat out the likes of Chloe Moretz and Jane Levy for the role. Schwartz will direct and produce along with Stephanie Savage through their Fake Empire shingle.

Max Werner penned the script, which revolves around a teen who is forced to take her brother out trick-or-treating, loses him along the way, and must find him before their mother finds out.

Bard Dorros, David Kanter and Michael Beugg will join Schwartz and Savage as producers.

Project and lead role have gained momentum in recent months. Werner's script was among those listed on the 2010 Black List, made up of the hottest specs on the market.

While many in the industry were focused on Katniss in "Hunger Games" as the hot role for young talent, the "Fun Size" turn quietly became gained its own cache for young female stars.

Sources tell Variety that other names showing interest in the role included Zoe Kravitz and Emma Roberts.

With Justice set and production scheduled for summer, the remaining cast should come together quickly. No release date has been set.

Justice continues to be seen in "Victorious."

*** iPity The Nevel ***

As most of you already know, "Nevel Papperman" – played by the brilliant actor, Reed Alexander, is iCarly's #1 evil villain. Some would call him Carly's arch nemesis.

In the early days of iCarly, one of the writers summed up the Nevel character very well by saying, "He's the Joker to Carly's Batman" – that pretty much says it all.

When the writers and I were working on this episode, iPity The Nevel, we thought it would be interesting to show Nevel "down and out" – and actually in need of Carly, Sam, and Freddie for help. It's quite a twist when your #1 enemy shows up at your front door, suddenly in desperate need of your help. That was the seed of the idea for this episode.

We've all seen situations when someone famous (like Nevel) does something really bad, and it's caught on video, and then that video goes viral and wrecks their life. That happens pretty often these days. Well, tonight, that's exactly what happens to the little demon, Nevel Papperman. It's kinda fun when the bad guy gets what he deserves, isn't it? ;)

Also, I really like Spencer's story in this episode. Well, it's not really a story... which is what makes it a great story. Yeah, it's confusing, I know. But I'll explain as I go.

Okay, here we go with the scene by scene Fun Facts...

*** Scene 1 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment – she's bringing a soda a snack to the counter, where Freddie is working on the computer.

• First, let's talk about Carly's soda in the blue glass. See the ice? No you don't! That's FAKE ice. On TV shows and in movies, we often use fake ice because it never melts.

• In this scene, Carly tells Gibby she had to cut his "Doctor Lobster" bit because the show was too long. Coincidentally, there was a section at the end of this first scene where Gibby returns and does some Doctor Lobster comedy – but I had to cut THAT because this episode was too long.

• Remember: SPOILER ALERT! Okay, now that I said that, do you want to know how Spencer's Egg Shooter bursts into flames? Hmmmm. Should I tell you? I feel like a magician who shouldn't reveal his secrets! Tell ya what: If you want to know how we made it burst into flames, contact me on Twitter and let me know (@DanWarp).

UPDATE: Well, a lot of you have replied to me on my Twitter account and asked, so here's the answer:

As we shot the scene, we stopped at one point... and then a special-effects man ran a special hose up Jerry's pants leg, into his shirt, and all the way to the actual egg shooter. Then, the special-effects man watched from off camera and, at just the right time, he hits a button, and that's what makes the flames shoot out. That's why you don't really see Spencer move his feet much when the egg shooter is on fire.

• You'll see Sam on the computer, going to SplashFace.com. I always like using that website on iCarly, because I invented it for the very first episode of iCarly (iPilot).

• If you've never heard of bread-and-butter pickles, they're a kind of pickle that not many people eat – but some people love them. When I hear about bread-and-butter pickles, I think of older people. They're not big with kids. Not the coolest pickles in the world. :)

• The little girl that Nevel screams at is played by a little actress named Caitlin Carmichael. She is AMAZING! And such a sweet kid.

*** Scene 2 ***
This scene begins with Gibby sitting in a bathtub filled with ice. That's all I really need to say, right? Haha.

• As you can see, the writing credit on this episode goes to Matt Fleckenstein, a super funny writer and all-around great guy. We call him Fleck. If you want to see the real Fleck in action, CLICK THIS.

• Yep – they're back! The Cowboy With A Mustache And The Idiot Farm Girl Who Thought The Mustache Was A Squirrel. Those are two of my favorite characters that Carly and Sam play. By the way, this scene was the very last scene we shot during the season. After we wrapped this scene (at about midnight), I went home. Then, at about 3:00 AM, Miranda, Jennette, Nathan, and Ariana Grande ("Cat" from Victorious) showed up at my house and filled my trees with toilet paper, as I slept peacefully. I haven't gotten them back yet. But soon, I will have my revenge!

• Nathan "Freddie" Kress did an awesome job playing a vampire. He's hilarious.

• The way Carly runs when she plays the Idiot Farm Girl – flailing her arms – kills me. I love it.

• Look! It's George, the Bra Who Tells Ghost Stories! He's voiced by Andrew Hill Newman. And, for those who care, he's a 34-C.

• "Contoods" is not a word. I made it up. :)

*** Scene 3 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment. It's the Karma Party!

• I wonder if this episode of iCarly will start a trend of people having "Karma parties" – parties where people celebrate the failure of their enemies. Hmmmm.

• As we first see the party, you'll notice a poster of Nevel with the words RUE THIS! are written on it. This is a reference to the very first episode of iCarly that featured Nevel, when he told Carly she'd "rue the day" she upset him.

*** Scene 4 ***
Scene begins outside in the Seattle streets, late at night.

• The people who design the sets for my shows surprised me in this scene by created the bus bench that says Schneider's Pickles. Made me laugh.

• We had to do several takes of Nevel getting hit in the face with a bag of fast food from a passing car, before we got the bag to hit Nevel the right way. But Reed Alexander is a trooper – he never complains! Then again, it's kind of fun to have a job where you get paid to sit on a park bench late at night and get pelted in the head with bags of fast food, right? :)

• One of my favorite thing about this scene is how the random french fries stay on Nevel's shoulder.

*** Scene 5 ***
Scene begins back in Carly's apartment as the last of the kids leave, ending the Karma party.

• l love how Miranda delivers her line, "Karma again... okay" – she's a funny girl!

• So, in this episode, we learn that Gibby much prefers liquid soap to bar soap. How about you?

• As I watched this scene (while typing these Fun Facts), it occurred to me that this moment, where Gibby talks about soap, is where we got the shot (below) of Noah Munck for the opening theme song...

...but as you'll notice, this moment was not shown in this episode.

---- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----

*** Scene 6 ***
Scene begins with Nevel, all tied up (hands & feet) on Carly's couch.

• When Gibby says, "This pudding rocks" – it's one of the funniest moments in this episode. You'll have to see it to understand why it's so funny (it's because of what Nevel says before the line). Anyway, I think it will make you laugh out loud.

• Reed ("Nevel") Alexander did some excellent acting in this episode, especially in this scene. You get to see a side of Nevel we've never seen before. Great work by Reed.

• Okay, this is kind of cool. In the middle of this scene, out of nowhere, Gibby says, "I'm gonna go to the store across the street and get some more of this pudding". It plays really funny (because it comes out of nowhere)... but it was not in the script. I'll explain why it happens...

Noah Munck, who plays "Gibby", is under 18 years old. That means we are only allowed a specific number of hours that we can have him work.

As we were shooting this scene, the clock was ticking. The rules say we must finish with Noah by a certain time, and we take those rules very seriously.

Well, as we were filming this scene, we were running out of time on Noah. We had to let him go, but we had not yet finished filming the scene. So, to make sure we followed the rules, I did a quick re-write of the scene. I wrote the Gibby line "I'm gonna go to the store across the street and get some more of this pudding" because it let us "exit Gibby" from the scene. I think he only had one or two more lines after that point, which I gave to to either Miranda, Jennette, or Nathan.

So now, you know why Gibby abruptly leaves in the middle of this scene. And actually, it's pretty funny that he does, so everyone wins! (Winning!)

• How much would you have to be paid for you to drink some stranger's fruit punch from Sam's sweaty sneaker?

• I love how Nathan delivers his line, "Then drink from the shoe" – it's delightfully creepy and really funny.

*** Scene 7 ***
Scene begins at the Groovy Smoothie with Carly and Sam go over some notes, and later continues in Carly's apartment.

• In this scene, Nevel gives out small baggies full of creamed corn. Originally, it was supposed to be creamed spinach. But when I saw the baggies of creamed spinach on camera, I worried they looked... um... illegal. So I changed creamed spinach to creamed corn. :)

• You know how almost everyone on iCarly uses Pear computers? But notice how Nevel doesn't have a Pear laptop? Why? Because only GOOD, NICE people get to use the Pear computers. Evil characters use other computers. Yeah, I know, I'm weird.

• Okay, we need to talk about what Spencer is doing in this scene, because everyone who works on iCarly loves this Spencer story. Or maybe I should say lack of Spencer story. I'll explain...

As we were writing this episode, we (the writers and I) realized that we had very little for "Spencer" to do. It was a problem, because I always like to give Jerry Trainer really fun stuff to play in every episode of iCarly.

That gave me an idea: What if the running joke in this episode is that Spencer has nothing to do? What if he feels left out and useless? That made us all laugh (especially Jerry), so that's what we gave him in this episode. His whole "story" is that he has no story. I just have Spencer sitting there in this scene, counting screws (for no reason), complaining that he has nothing to do. It's pretty hilarious because Jerry plays it so funny, and because it's based in the reality that we gave Jerry no real story in this episode.

• One of my favorite lines in this episode is when Spencer says "What's up with these antics?" As some of you know, a lot of what I do in my shows is poke fun at television a little bit. That's because I love TV, but I also like to make fun of it sometimes. That's exactly what the line "What's up with these antics?" is doing – gently mocking TV comedy.

*** Scene 8 ***
This scene begins in the iCarly studio, with Carly and Sam making Gibby stick his finger in a vicious fish's fish bowl.

• That's actually a friendly fish. He doesn't bite. But he appears to bite Gibby's finger – that's a digital effect. Looks real, huh?

• And finally, we learn Nevel's MIDDLE name. We've always known he was Nevel Papperman. But now we know his FULL name. If you want to know, just use your mouse or trackpad to highlight his name below, and his MIDDLE name will appear:

• Nevel's apology is actually very touching. Again, excellent acting by the awesome Reed Alexander.

• And once again, Spencer appears... with nothing to do. Jerry is so dang funny. I love how he just stands there with his "I got nothing to do" expression.

*** Scene 9 ***
Scene begins back at the Groovy Smoothie – Freddie sits at a table talking to a pretty girl.

• When my wife Lisa watched this episode with me last night, she GASPED (in a good way) when she saw Gibby as a werewolf. Hahaha. :)

• If you're wondering why (after Gibby leaves with the girl) Freddie pours salt into his hand and licks it, you'll have to ask Nathan Kress. It was not in the script for him to do that – he just did it. I left it in the show because I thought it was random and funny.

• Notice that Nevel doesn't get a Pear phone, either. That's because he's a mean character... and only nice characters get Pear products. :)

• So, does this episode mean that Nevel will no longer be iCarly's #1 enemy? What do you think? Will Nevel become a friend to iCarly? Or do you think Nevel will always be determined to bring iCarly down?

• "Buttocks" is just a silly word, don't you think? :)

Two words: Thank You (from Dan Schneider)

Hello! It's 2011, and I want to begin this New Year with a special thank you to the fans of iCarly, Victorious, and all the shows/movies my team and I have made in the past.

Everyone at Schneider's Bakery works hard, but none of that hard work would matter if you guys didn't tune in to watch. We're really proud of our shows, but I think it makes us even more proud that you like them and are always so supportive.

2010 was an incredible year for team Schneider's Bakery. Because of the fans' support, the following things happened...

iCarly took Nickelodeon to new heights with iSaved Your Life, Nickelodeon's highest-rated, most-watched telecast in the network's history.

Victorious set a ratings record as the most-watched first telecast of any new live-action TV show ever, in the network's history.

The iCarly episode iSaved Your Life was the #1 most-viewed show of 2010 on all of cable television, for all ages.

Currently, iCarly & Victorious are the Top 2 live-action shows on Nickelodeon, helping Nickelodeon maintain its 16-year staus as the #1 network on all of cable.

In terms of music, I'm proud to say that we ended 2010 (and begin 2011) with the Victorious song Freak The Freak Out still in the Top 40 of all music on iTunes. Ever since its release (over a month ago), Freak The Freak Out has been Nickelodeon's highest ranked single on iTunes.

We closed the year with the first Victorious movie Freak The Freak Out as the #1 television episode on iTunes kids. Even though that episode first aired over a month ago, it's remained at the top of that list ever since – something I've never seen happen before. And there are three iCarly episodes in the Top 10, as you can see here:

In terms of awards, Victorious received two 2010 Teen Choice Award nominations – not bad for a brand new series that only debuted this year.

iCarly received an Emmy nomination, three 2010 Teen Choice Awards, and even a People's Choice Award nomination. And iCarly won the Kids' Choice Award this year for favorite television show.

We had the pleasure and fun of working with some amazingly talented guest stars like Jack Black, Jane Lynch, and Perez Hilton. All three of them couldn't have been more nice, professional, and funny.

We experienced the excitement of seeing our shows mentioned in the media by superstars like Harrison Ford and Sylvester Stallone.

We saw Spaghetti Tacos become a nation-wide craze, mentioned in dozens of newspapers, magazines, and TV shows.

Our websites, iCarly.com and Victorious's TheSlap.com both reached new heights in terms of online popularity.

And there were many more great moments and accomplishments, but I don't want to make this too long. So, I'll get to my real point here...

None of these wonderful things would have happened in 2010 without the loyal, awesome FANS of these shows. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm insanely lucky that I get to spend my life entertaining people – making people smile, laugh, and feel happy. That's something I'll never take for granted.

You guys keep watching and laughing, and I promise that team Schneider's Bakery will continue working hard to bring you the best, most fun entertainment we possibly can.

Victorious TONIGHT! Freak The Freak Out! (+ MUSIC VIDEO)

***** TONIGHT!!! FRIDAY!!! IT'S HERE!!! *****

A brand new Victorious one-hour special called Freak The Freak Out will be on TONIGHT (Friday)! This is the first ever Victorious movie, and I think you'll love it! It's got an AWESOME new song by "Tori" (Victoria Justice) called Freak The Freak Out – which might be the best song she's ever done (it will be available on iTunes November 23rd).

There's also a new song in the episode performed by "Cat" and "Jade" which they sing together, called Give It Up. Awesome song, and Liz and Ariana KILL IT. :)

Even Robbie & Rex do a song together (Move Your Body).

This is the biggest Victorious event in the history of the series, so you definitely wanna check it out.

Saturday night (October 23, 2010) was the premiere of an original movie called The Boy Who Cried Werewolf. It starred the amaze-tastic VICTORIA JUSTICE, and with Halloween approaching, this was the perfect Saturday night activity. It was written, produced, and directed by super-talented people... and did I mention that it starred VICTORIA JUSTICE? I did? Well, it still does. :)

So, to all fans of Victoria, Nickelodeon, Victorious, and scary-cool movies, here's a place where you can discuss the movie, ask questions, share info, and all that kinda fun stuff. Victoria and other people connected to the movie will come here and check out what you have to say/ask.

"iCarly" & "30 Rock" = Equal Ratings!

Live From New York, 30 Rock Hits Season High!

NBC is pleased this morning!

Last night, 30 Rock's duo live broadcasts went off without a hitch and the ratings this morning prove that people were all for it!

The show got its highest ratings of the season, drawing in 6.7 million viewers which is up 43% from last week.

Congrats on an excellent show, Tina Fey! Let's do it again next year!

30 Rock is a great show that is loved by pretty much everyone I know. But when I saw that it hit a "season high" with 6.7 million viewers, that made me smile… because that's exactly the number of viewers that tuned in for the last episode of iCarly called "iDo". Here it is, as reported this week on the Programming Insider by my friend Marc Berman:

So, congrats to 30 Rock. And thanks to all the fans of iCarly (and Victorious) who keep us competitive with the primetime network shows.

Spaghetti Tacos Sweep The Nation!... REALLY?

Holy moly. I'm kinda shocked. In season one of iCarly, there was an episode that called for Spencer to be making dinner.

If you watch my shows a lot, you know I always try to make even the simplest things – like making dinner – more interesting, different, or weird (in a funny way, hopefully).

Okay, so Spencer was making dinner. Spencer, this wacky character who's a cool artist… which is why I felt that he couldn't make something "normal" like hamburgers or chicken. I felt that Spencer should make something creative, fun, and original.

Two of my favorite foods are spaghetti and tacos. Boom! I had Spencer make spagehtti tacos. That sounded fun, inventive, and I wanted to eat one myself. And I thought it would sound appealing to the iCarly audience.

Later, I wrote spaghetti tacos into a few more episodes of iCarly. I even did one episode where the main story was a spaghetti taco competition against a professional chef from TV.

In the past year, on occasion, I get tweets and emails from fans showing me pics of spaghetti tacos they made at home. I thought that was pretty cool – that something I came up with and showed on TV actually motivated some fans try it themselves.

But I still didn't think spaghetti tacos were much of a big deal – just a little inside thing between me and iCarly fans.

Well, a month ago, I was contacted by a very nice woman, Helene Stapinski, at the New York Times. She wanted to interview me because (she told me) spaghetti tacos have become wildly popular.

Wildy popular? Really?

I was a little surprised to hear that. But I was happy to chat with her about spaghetti tacos, how I came up with the idea, and how I'd featured them in iCarly.

Next thing I know, there's this HUGE ARTICLE in the New York Times about how spaghetti tacos are sweeping the nation. The article appeared this past Wednesday on the COVER of the Food & Wine section – of the freakin' NEW YORK TIMES. Crazy!

Since then, the spaghetti taco thing has been everywhere. I gotta say, I find the whole thing very cool, fun... and it just makes me smile. (For a healthy recipe for spaghetti tacos – from the amazing Hungry Girl – CLICK HERE!)

Yo Hobos! I hope you all got to watch the iCarly episode iSam's Mom, where we finally got to meet SAM'S MOM. If you didn't see it, you can download it by CLICKING HERE.

I promised Fun Facts for iSam's Mom, so here they are! But before I go on, I want to explain something...

I love writing the Fun Facts. I know some of you are disappointed when I don't do them. But the only reason I sometimes don't is the time it requires. It takes me about 3 hours to write Fun Facts for one episode – because I have to watch the DVD – stop every few seconds – write something – then watch some more. And the whole time I'm trying to remember all the details for you.

Right now I'm making iCarly and Victorious simultaneously. That's a lot of writing, filming, and post production. Often I have to work 7 days a week to keep pumping out the episodes. I'm not complaining about that – I love doing all of it – but sometimes I just can't find those 3 hours to write the Fun Facts. I'm sorry about that, but please know that I will always do it when I can. If I don't do them, always know that it's because I was too busy writing, filming, or completing a new episode for you.

*** iSam's Mom ***

As most of you already know, this is a very special episode of iCarly. Sam's mom has been referred to in over a third of all iCarly episodes, but she's never been seen. The closest we ever came to actually seeing her was when she backed her car into the school, smashing a wall and locker #239. We know she was driving the car, but we never got a glimpse of her. But on Saturday night, we finally meet the infamous mother of Sam Puckett.

There have been a few times in the past couple of years I thought about writing an episode that revealed Sam's mom. There are two reasons I never did.

(1) Sometimes it's more fun to imagine a character than to actually meet her. There has been so much talk about Sam's mom, I didn't want it to be a disappointment to the fans when she appeared on screen.

(2) I didn't have an actress in mind who would be perfect to play the role.

So why did I change my mind? A few months ago, I was sent a New York Times article about Jane Lynch getting marrried. And in that article, I read this:

"And among the promises that Ms. Lynch made while reciting her vows was “to be the very best parent I can be,” as well as “to do my best to get her ‘iCarly’ tickets"...

I've always been a fan of Jane. She's been fantastic in movies, and everyone at iCarly and Victorious think she's amazing on Glee. So, when I saw that she mentioned iCarly in her wedding vows, my first thought was to ask her to be on one of my shows. And my next thought was, "A-ha! Sam's mom!"

About 7 or 8 weeks later, Jane Lynch was standing on our iCarly sets, acting with the iCarly casts. She is perfect casting for the role of "Pam Puckett" – the weird and brazen "creator" of Sam.

That's the episode iSam's Mom came to be. I hope you have as much fun watching it as we all had making it.

Okay, here we go with the scene by scene Fun Facts...

*** Scene 1 ***
Scene begins in the iCarly studio with Freddie at his tech cart, rolling up a cable, as Carly walks in.

• There is no real website called TweenPants.com. It's just a funny name we came up with that makes me laugh. If you go to it, it will re-direct you to iCarly.com (as all the fake web sites mentioned on my shows do). You will also hear "Sam" reference TweenPants.com in the iCarly-Victorious crossover special, coming in a few months.

• In this scene, Carly tells Gibby she had to cut his "Doctor Lobster" bit because the show was too long. Coincidentally, there was a section at the end of this first scene where Gibby returns and does some Doctor Lobster comedy – but I had to cut THAT because this episode was too long.

• Why does Sam need anti-itch cream?!?

• Okay, I've never done this before, BUT… here is the part of the script that was shot, and in the first cut of this show, but deleted because the show was too long:

FREDDIE:  Show started fifteen seconds ago.

CARLY AND SAM LOOK AT FREDDIE WHO'S POINTING HIS CAMERA AT THEM.  BEAT.  CARLY AND SAM AWKWARDLY START THE SHOW.

CARLY/SAM:  (TOGETHER)  And this is iCarly!

SAM  PRESSES A BUTTON ON HER REMOTE CAUSING CHEERS/APPLAUSE.  DURING   CARLY'S NEXT LINE, GIBBY WILL ENTER BEHIND THE GIRLS WITH HIS LOBSTER   CLAWS UP.

CARLY:  Okay!  Sam and I are gonna show you how to make a special cologne for hobos, using only bleach...

SAM ...kosher salt... 

CARLY ...goat's milk...

GIBBY CLEARS HIS THROAT TO GET THE GIRLS ATTENTION.  HE SLOWLY WORKS HIS CLAWS.

GIBBY:  Did someone page Doctor Lobster?

CARLY/SAM:  (LOUD, TOGETHER)  Gibby!

GIBBY QUICKLY EXITS FRAME.  CUT TO: MAIN TITLES

That part of the show was funny – I liked it when I saw the first pass of this episode. But we always end up long, and some material must be deleted in order to get the show to the proper time.

*** NEW OPENING CREDIT SEQUENCE ***

As you'll see, with this episode we begin a whole new opening credit sequence (although you saw a few of the new shots in the opening sequence of iGot A Hot Room).

The only shots I kept from past sequences were Spencer and the ostrich… and the shot of Carly tossing her hat into the air. I kept the ostrich shot because it's hilarious and people love it a lot, and I've always kept the Carly-hat-toss in, ever since iCarly first premiered.

*** Scene 2 ***
Scene begins with Carly asleep in her bed.

• As you can see, the writing credit on this episode goes to Jake Farrow. Jake used to play "Gavin" (the weird "I got it" guy) on Drake & Josh. Jake has written for many of my shows, including Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, and Victorious. He's a super funny guy, AND… just two weeks ago, Jake had his first child with his wife, Jen. He's a cute little boy named Jackson – the same name as my cat. :)

• You'll hear Carly say, "It's almost four o'clock in the morning." But that was NOT the take I had in this episode a week ago. In that version of the show, Carly said, "It's almost four o'clock in the flippin' morning." But the network called me and said they didn't want me to have Carly say the word "flippin" – so I changed it to another take where she didn't say it. Frankly, I thought it was fine for Carly to say "flippin" – but when the bigwigs at Nickelodeon have an issue with something, I try to accommodate them. And I didn't feel that strongly about keeping the "flippin" line.

• I love that Spencer is so willing to make Sam some eggs at four o'clock in the morning. I wish I'd had a big brother like that! Don't you?

*** Scene 3 ***
Scene begins at the Groovy Smoothie with Freddie and Gibby at a table.

• You want to know where we (the writers) got the idea for Freddie to have spy glasses? A few months ago we were writing the Victorious episode where "Cat" was addicted to Sky Store. So, we got an actual Sky Mall magazine and flipped through it. One of the items we saw was a pair of sunglasses that secretly records video. I had one of our writers' assistants order a pair, and we played around with them. They actually worked! That's how we got the idea to give Freddie "Spy Glasses" in this episode.

• It was not scripted for Gibby to stick out his tongue and wag it like he does. I added that, on set, while we were filming the scene.

• Gibby's original line in the script was: "Hey hey, a little cream n' sugar just walked in." But as we filmed this scene, I changed the line to, "Hey hey, a couple of smokin' salmon just swam by." I thought that was a notch funnier.

• If you're wondering why the Asian gentleman emerges from the restroom, looking at Gibby, with a terrified expression, then runs out screaming in horror… you'll have to ask Noah Munck who plays "Gibby". He's one of the few people who knows why. ;)

• I love T-Bo. For some reason, his delivery of the line, "And now I gotta buy new cables too?" – it kills me. He's a really funny guy.

• Watch at the end of the scene, when Freddie goes to the counter to talk to T-Bo. When he touches his sunglasses, the lenses light up blue. That did not happen in real life. That's a post production visual effect. I've worked in TV and movies for a long time, but I still find effects like that really cool.

*** Scene 4 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment – Carly coming down the stairs with a plate in her hand.

• A new Penny-T on Sam! This one says BACON FARM. Perfect for Sam Puckett.

• Once again, Sam tells us that she HATES the word "panties". Can you remember the episode where we first learned this about her? By the way, I got this idea (to write it for Sam) from a friend of my wife who always talks about how she hates the word "panties" – and insists that "underwear" is the only acceptable term. How do YOU feel about the word? Are you on Sam's side? Or is she overly-sensitive?

• In this scene, Spencer references the mythical TV show "Celebrities Under Water". I'm not sure, but I think I FIRST used that show name on Drake & Josh. You have no idea how many people tell me I should create Celebrities Under Water as an actual TV show! Hahaha.

• I like how Spencer gets it wrong and yells "Stairs! Stairs! Stairs!" at Sam.

*** Scene 5 ***
Scene begins back in the Groovy Smoothie, with Freddie complaining to T-Bo about his coupon.

• T-Bo is hysterically funny in this scene. There are about 4 or 5 lines he says that make me laugh out loud.

• In the middle of this scene, you'll hear one of the newscaster's crew yell "We're live" – can you guess whose voice that is? Uhhh… ME.

*** Scene 6 ***
Scene begins with Carly walking into her apartment.

• After Sam says "Welcome home!" I love the look on Carly's face as she sees her messy kitchen and starts speed-walking toward it. Great expression by Miranda!

• And… introducing… SAM'S MOM! After more than 70 episodes, over 3 years of iCarly, here she is – wonderfully portrayed by the talented Jane Lynch. How PERFECT is she for the role?!?

• As we were filming this scene, just at the last minute, I asked our prop department to give Sam's mom a bag of chips to be eating. I figured that OF COURSE Sam's mom would have food with her, right?

• Do you think Carly was right to invite Sam's mom over without Sam's permission? Was that okay or not okay? Comment below!

• You know what I notice when I watch this scene? We all know what an amazing actor Jane Lynch is. Well, watch Jennette McCurdy act with her. Lots of young actors would be outclassed by someone as great as Jane Lynch. But Jennette is right there with her, which shows what a brilliant actor Jennette really is.

---- COMMERCIAL BREAK ----

*** Scene 7 ***
Scene begins with Spencer, carrying a huge sack of beans, walking into his apartment.

• Why does Spencer walk in carrying a huge sack of generic "beans"? No reason. I just try to avoid the common and the boring. Spencer was originally just supposed to walk in. That felt boring to me. So, I said to our prop master, "Hey, can you please arrange for him to be carrying a gigantic sack of generic beans?" And so he is.

• It's… Mrs. Benson, played by the awesome Mary Scheer! She's very popular with iCarly fans, so I'm really glad she's in this special episode. You can see Mary in this video I shot during a rehearsal for this episode by CLICKING HERE http://www.youtube.com/danwarp#p/u/33/YHU78RiYuD8

• Question: Did you notice that Freddie was wearing something under his shirt before Carly exposed him?

• Once again, Mrs. Benson directly insults Carly. We (the writers) are enjoying the fact that Mrs. Benson is now outwardly rude to Carly. Why? Probably because she's angry that she draws much of Freddie's attention away from her. What do you think?

*** Scene 8 ***
Scene begins at a psychiatrist's office with Carly, Sam, Sam's mom, and a psychiatrist, talking.

• As you might know, I think my post production department is the best in the business. They are a HUGE reason why Schneider's Bakery shows look and sound so great. They also like to put little "Easter eggs" in the show, and see if I'll catch them. Well, here's one I caught. If you look at the exterior the psychiatry building, you'll see a sign that says PSCHNEIDER PSYCHOTIC GROUP. The "P" before "Schneider" really made me laugh. Nice, Joe. ;)

• When I cast the actor to play the psychiatrist (who did a GREAT JOB, by the way), he had no idea that he was auditioning for a role that would have scenes with Jane Lynch. When he got to set, he was quite pleasantly surprised.

• Anyone who watches iCarly, even semi-regularly, knows that there are many jokes about all the men Sam's mom dates. Well, here in this scene, we get to see her in action. Notice how her main interest in the psychiatry office is in trying to hook up with the psychiatrist. Vintage behavior for Sam's mom.

*** Scene 9 ***
This scene begins with Carly walking into her apartment.

• After the scary man says "State your name and business" to Carly, I love her response, "Carly Shay – web show host". One of my writers suggested that response, and it makes me laugh every time (that Carly identifies herself that way). So funny and cute.

• How great is the actor who plays Gunsmoke?!? We all loved his dry performance.

• If you don't laugh out loud when Gunsmoke attacks Spencer, then you may have recently passed away. Great stunt – and Jerry did it himself!

• There is really no such thing as Furon gas. I made that up.

• I love Jerry's delivery of the last line in this scene: "Nooo, ya broke it!" He's a grown man, but he delivers that line EXACTLY as a 9-year-old boy would.

*** Scene 10 ***
Scene begins in the psychiatrist's office – Sam and her mom are on the floor, fighting.

• We learn here where Sam gets her toughness from. Notice that she and her mom are in a "stalemate" grasp, indicating that they're an even match. But between you and me, Sam could take her in a street fight. Even Sam doesn't want to hurt her mom TOO badly. :)

• On the first few takes, when Jane said her line, "Hey, those pants fit you real good," she was looking at the front of his pants. I had the director step in quietly and tell her that, because this is for Nickelodeon, we'd prefer she look at the BACK of his pants on that line. ;)

• As far as I know, there's really no such thing as a "therapy box". That's just something the writers and I made up.

• "…take a wazz". That's the second time you've heard the word "wazz" on a Schneider's Bakery show. The first time was in the Victorious episode "Wi-Fi In The Sky". As you've probably figured out, it means "to pee".

*** Scene 11 ***
Scene begins in Carly and Spencer's apartment – they're watching TV with Gunsmoke.

• The pizza that Spencer is eating in this scene came from Vincenzo's Pizza in Santa Clarita, California. Why not a place in Hollywood, since that's where we film iCarly? Because our prop master, Chris, lives in Santa Clarita. This scene was filmed first thing in the morning. So Chris bought the pizza the night before, took it home, fridged it, brought to work the next morning, and now there it is on TV! Thanks, Vincenzo's Pizza – Jerry said it was good stuff!

• There is no real movie called The Killing War. But it sounds awfully violent, doesn't it?

• A nice little nod to Full House here. We liked that joke, because we (the writers) said to ourselves, "What's the OPPOSITE of a horribly violent movie?" Answer: Full House.

• For the record, I like lemonade. There, I admit it!

*** Scene 12 ***
Scene begins with Sam and her mom arguing in the therapy box.

• Ah, a reference to Sam's twin sister, Melanie. So, now there's no doubt she exists. Freddie is the only one who doesn't buy it. Freddie is wrong.

• I love that the psychiatrist is chugging Pepto Bismol from the bottle. Only the Pucketts could drive a licensed psychiatrist to madness.

• As you can see, there is a door at the back of the therapy box. There IS a small bathroom back there, which our production designer built into the set, because in our original outline, there was a point in a scene where Sam (or her mom) went in there to use it. But it was cut from the final shooting script, so that little bathroom set was never used.

*** Scene 13 ***
Scene begins in Carly's kitchen where a sad Freddie is eating his mushrooms.

• Once again, Jerry did his own stunt – that was actually him that Gunsmoke grabbed and threw to the floor.

• When Gunsmoke says, "I'm being paid to protect that boy, and nobody's gonna lay a hand on him while I'm here" – watch Freddie in the background. I'm not sure why he's playing with his hair like that – I just noticed it while I'm writing these Fun Facts. But I'll be sure to tease Nathan about it as soon as he's done shooting the scene we're filming right now.

*** Scene 14 ***
Scene begins back in the therapy box, with Sam's mom putting on lipstick.

• It's subtle, but look closely and you'll see where Sam's mom puts her lipstick when she's done with it. Only Sam's mom! Did you catch it?

• When we (the writers) first wrote this scene, I thought the dialogue was very good – a well-written scene where Carly was helping Sam and her mom find some way to get along. The problem: it wasn't very funny – just a couple of laughs here and there. I felt it needed a big dose of comedy, which is why I added Carly freaking out and going "Nyehhh! Nyehhh! Nyehhh!" It made sense because, in iSpace Out, we established that Carly freaks out in small, confined spaces. Since there's no window for her to jump through in this therapy box, it makes sense that Carly would freak out. I thought Miranda did a terrific job of playing the "Nyehhh! Nyehhh! Nyehhh!" part of the scene. And not to sound too sappy, but I also like the fact that, in the end, Sam decides to "make nice" with her mom, because she feels bad that her best friend Carly is freaking out. She really does it for Carly.

• One of my favorite lines in this scene is Sam saying to her mom: "I don't think you're scummy… all the time." Clearly, Sam thinks her mom is scummy some of the time. :)

*** Scene 15 ***
This short scene begins with the Shadow Hammer coming around the hallway with a hammer in his hand.

• The look on Freddie's face at the end (when he peeks out the door) is priceless. Hilarious.

• Spencer's trick worked… but it makes you wonder what happened to the poor people in the REAL 8-H, doesn't it? :)

Yo Hobos! The next episode of iCarly will have a totally NEW opening sequence! By that I mean, the sequence of video clips you see during the opening theme song, "Leave It All To Me". And we're debating something...

Every time we do a new opening sequence for a new season of iCarly, we change almost all of the video clips. We always keep the shot (near the end) where Carly tosses her blue cowboy hat up in the air, but we change all the other shots. EXCEPT...

The last time we changed the opening sequence, I kept the shot where Spencer and the ostrich both "yawn" at the same time. Here's the shot, to remind you:

Why did I choose to keep that shot in? Because it's so ridiculously funny and awesome, I couldn't make myself lose it! It was so amazing when it happened, I kept the shot in, the last time we created a new opening sequence.

But now we're doing a BRAND NEW opening sequence, and we're all debating (here at Schneider's Bakery) whether to, again, keep the Spencer-Ostrich shot, or replace it with a NEW shot.

iCarly To Reveal SAM'S MOM!!!

Hey hobos! I've wanted to tell you this cool news for a while, but I couldn't until it was official. Now it is!

As you know, there are two iCarly characters that are mentioned all the time in episodes, but who we never meet: Socko and Sam's Mom.

So far, we've aired 70 episodes of iCarly (and we've filmed 73). In all those episodes, Sam's mom has been referred to over 57 times! But the closest we've ever come to seeing her is when she backed her car into the school, right through the wall. And even then we only saw her car. Sam's mom's identity remained a mystery.

Well, the mystery is just about over! Next week we'll be filming a new iCarly episode where we finally reveal Sam's mom, and in a HUGE way.

So, WHO will be PLAYING THE ROLE of Sam's mom?!? None other than the amazingly fantastic star of Glee who was also awesome in The 40 Year Old Virgin and tons of other stuff... the one-and-only...

JANE LYNCH!!!

Yep, it's offical. Sam's mom is coming to iCarly, and we're all EXTREMELY LUCKY to have someone as talented as Jane Lynch playing that very important role.

*** iBeat The Heat ***

This is a unique iCarly episode for many reasons. One of the most fun things about iBeat The Heat is that you'll see LOTS of special guest stars from previous iCarly episodes – something we've never really done before.

Another thing that makes it unusual is that (I think) this is the first iCarly EVER where we stay in Carly and Spencer's apartment from beginning to end. But don't worry – I promise it's not boring! I'd never do that to you (at least not intentionally – haha).

Another cool thing about this episode is that it brings back one of the most popular iCarly guest characters of all time: "Griffin" – who was Carly's "bad boy" boyfriend in the special iDate A Bad Boy episode. He's back and so are his, um... little friends. :)

And a potential new love interest for Freddie? How will it turn out?!? And for those of you who love and root for the Sam & Freddie relationship and, calm yourselves down. As you must know by now, most iCarly guest stars vanish at the end of an episode. Will this one? Hmmm... I guess you'll have to watch and find out.

S P E C I A L M E S S A G E ! ! ! The writers and I want to know (for both iBeat The Heat and Survival Of The Hottest) what joke or action makes you LAUGH the MOST, for each episode. And now, here's the scene-by-scene breakdown of Fun Facts for iBeat The Heat...

*** Scene 1 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment. Freddie is on the couch with his Pearbook laptop. And he's very hot (interpret that however you want, girls!)

• See the silver colored fan that Carly is holding? And the fan on the table in front of Freddie? My wife Lisa and I have one exactly like it in my bedroom. Yikes, my first Fun Fact is really boring. Okay, I'll try to step up my game....

• I just realized (while writing this) that the thermostat (air-conditioning controller) that Carly is adjusting is a really old-school kind. So, I'm going to email Harry (our iCarly production designer) and tell him to put a DIGITAL air-conditioning controller in their apartment. So, you heard it here first, folks: Starting with the iCarly episode iGet Pranky which we film this coming week, look for the new air-conditioning controller on the wall. Oh man, I've GOT to start typing more interesting stuff here.

• A reference to "Mr. Henning" – do you remember that teacher? Hint: The actor who played him has also done of lot of writing for iCarly, in real life.

• What Sam does with Carly's piece of orange paper is truly horrible, but if it doesn't make you laugh, then I'm not sure what to do for you. :)

• I love how Miranda (Carly) says "Ew" – brilliantly delivered. Most actors would have done a big "EWWWWWW!" – but Miranda knows how to deliver a line like that perfectly. Same with her next line, "No thanks."

• You'll hear Sam say "I'm sweatin' like a meatloaf here." I wrote that line because... one day when I was dating my wife Lisa, visiting her at work, she left her desk for a few minutes. As soon as she was gone, I went on her computer and starting instant-messaging everyone on her buddy list: "Help! I'm sweating like a meatloaf." When Lisa returned, she wasn't thrilled with my actions, but she laughed. P.S. To the best of my knowledge, meatloaves do not actually sweat. (Don't you just hate the plural of meatloaf? MeatLOAVES. Ewww.)

• How 'bout a round of applause for the brilliant people who work on iCarly for the awesome Norwegian air-conditioner! Pretty awesome, right? I write things – they MAKE them. How cool is that?

• You'll love when Freddie says "Tubos Yellos" – but why does Freddie often speak Spanish? WHY? (Oh wait, I know.)

• That's not real ice in the bag. Real ice wouldn't last long on a set because of the heat. It would get watery fast. So, our prop department (Chris and Lynn) get FAKE ICE which is often used for television and movie productions. Obviously, it never melts.

*** Scene 2 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment. We start close on the Norwegian air-conditioner, and then see Freddie at the kitchen counter, working on his laptop.

• Do you see those yellow tubes? Those are what you use for REAL portable air-conditioning units. When I would film Zoey 101 outside in the summer (the exterior scenes), I would be watching the monitors in a tent where it would often get well over 100 degrees. Not kidding. So, my production staff got a portable air-conditioner for me so I could watch the scenes (as we filmed), and I'd usually be typing a script at the same time. To stay cool and keep my brain working, they would set up a yellow tube (just like the ones you see in this iCarly episode) pointed right at my head, only inches away from me! That's how I made it through the crazy hot summers during filming.

• The writing credit on this episode goes to my good friend Steve Holland (not to be confused with my other good friend "Savage" Steve Holland). Steve is a great writer who's currently working on The Big Bang Theory... with my other good friend, Steve Molaro. I need to quit hangin' out with so many Steves.

• Haha! Just after I wrote that last Fun Fact, I see that this episode was DIRECTED by Steve Hoefer. He's the guy who directs most of my shows. He directed the pilot of iCarly and the pilot of Victorious. He was also the guy you'd see on The Amanda Show who would run in at the end of the scenes and yell stuff like "Movin' on!" He's a great guy. SIDEBAR FUN FACT: Steve Hoefer was offered the job of directing Saturday Night Live, but chose to stay in L.A. and keep working with the Schneider's Bakery team because he loves us and we love him! SIDEBAR FACT #2: His last name is pronounced "Hayfer" which is where I got the name for the teacher on Drake & Josh who hates Drake: "Mrs. Hayfer".

• When Freddie picks up his phone, watch the Pear on the back LIGHT UP. Cool huh? That is attention to detail. :)

• I can't believe I've been working on these Fun Facts for an hour and I'm not even through the 2nd scene yet. That wasn't really a Fun Fact, just a comment from me. I'm going to get myself some lemonade now – brb.

• Okay. I'm back with some lemonade. Next Fun Fact...

• I love how Nathan (Freddie) delivers his line, "Yeah, that'll happen." Awesomely subtle delivery. I put that line in the script for "Freddie" because I say the same thing all the time in real life, whenever someone asks me to do something that there's NO CHANCE I'd do.

• And here comes an recurring character that all iCarly fans love A LOT... the one and only... MRS. BENSON played by Mary Scheer. We love her at iCarly!

• It wasn't scripted for Mrs. Benson to call Carly a "dummy" – I added that on stage while we were filming the scene.

• Acting isn't always easy, but Jerry Trainor makes it LOOK easy. If you think you can do it, try to say this line he says in this scene (as fast as he says it): "It is a fifteen kilowatt liquid propane generator with a nine hundred and ninety-three cc pro-guard thirty-five horsepower v-twin engine yeah I said all that." • And ANOTHER one of the all-time-fave iCarly recurring characters: LEWBERT, played by the incredible Jeremy Rowley. I love the very awkward scene between him and Mrs. Benson, in the hallway. Remember the episode iHurt Lewbert? Well, now it's time for some fun awkwardness between them. I first saw Jeremy perform at the Groundlings (an improvisational theater) in Los Angeles, and first hired him for The Amanda Show where he played "Little Crazy Hat Man." Oh, the memories. :)

• Well, if it wasn't enough for you that Lewbert has an eternal wart, now... there's a new body sore for you. And thankfully (as Lewbert points out at the end of this scene)... "It never heals."

*** Scene 3 ***
Scene begins upstairs in the iCarly studio, as Sam enters, followed by Freddie and Carly.

• Come on... what other TV show would have characters talking about putting yogurt on a never-healing foot sore? Only available at Schneider's Bakery. :)

• For those of you who loved how Sam said "Why you so stoooopid?" to Freddie in iSpace Out, there's a little surprise for you in this scene.

• And here comes Sabrina. Guess what? She has also appeared in a previous episode of iCarly. Do you know which one? Only the iCarly super-fans will know this one!

*** Scene 4 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment with Lewbert on the couch, putting his shoe on, and Mrs. Benson bringing some elderly people inside.

• Another poem from Mrs. Benson. When we made the episode iSaved Your Life, I think that was the first time I wrote an insane poem for Mrs. Benson. If I remember right, it went: "Posy dee, posy doo, I don't want posies in my house!" I don't know why I wrote that, but the way Mary ("Mrs. Benson") performed it made me laugh hard. So, I've decided to write her more insane poems. I love how she delivers them in such an angry way. The one in this scene, about heat and the elderly, is quite bizarre and fun. I hope you like it (even though Spencer finds it creepy, which he tells her).

• As you'll see, Freddie educates Carly by telling her that "angina" is a word that means "chest pains". Although I often make up things like that on my shows, in this case, that definition is correct. CLICK HERE for proof!

• Ahhhh! Chuck is back! I don't think I have to tell you that this probably means bad news for Spencer. ;)

• Chuck's super- pretty older SISTER? Who knew?

• I love the LOOK Chuck gives Spencer right after he says "Uh-huh". Kills me.

• Sam's line "Yeah... get it good old man" is really funny. I think it came from writer Jake Farrow (who played "Gavin" on Drake & Josh). Such a funny line, and so expertly delivered by the awesome Jennette McCurdy! P.S. If the line came from another iCarly writer (not Jake), I apologize! Don't be mad at me, please! (I'm pretty sure it was Jake's line.)

• And it's Marty Klemish – another Bushwell resident. His first appearance was in iEnrage Gibby. He was the man who consoled Carly about Spencer's "death" (of course, Spencer was only reported to be dead).

• And look! It's Dr. Dresdin – the odd doctor who gave Spencer questionable allergy medication in iFight Shelby Marx. This episode, iBeat The Heat, is starting to feel almost like a family reunion, isn't it?

• I just realized while watching this episode that Spencer never wipes the cupcake goo off his face (until the commercial break). What is WRONG with Spencer?!?

---- COMMERCIAL BREAK ---

*** Scene 5 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apparent which is now VERY crowded (almost 50 people, according to Spencer).

• ARE YOU READY? Hiya, GRIFFIN! Yep. Carly's Pee-Wee lovin' bad boy is back. Calm down, ladies. :)

• Uh-oh. A private talk between Carly and Griffin in the hallway? Is he going to try to KISS Carly again? Hint: MAYBE. Okay, that wasn't really a hint. But hey, I don't get paid to write these Fun Facts,

• WHAT THE HECK DID CHUCK PUT IN SPENCER'S DRINK?!? WHAT COULD IT BE?!?

• Chuck references "Camp Addemup" – do you know which iCarly episode THAT reference is from? DO YA? Comment below if you do. Or even if you don't. See? I'm easy.

• I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love the pure randomness of Spencer asking Chuck's sister, "Do you like soccer?" – and his smile right afterwards.

*** Scene 6 ***
Scene begins in the iCarly studio with Carly walking in to find more people.

• As you can see, Sam is (again) drinking a bottle of cream soda. If you watch iCarly a lot, you know that she often drinks cream soda out of the bottle. When I first came up with this trait for Sam (in season one of iCarly), I wrote "root beer". But when I saw it on camera, I felt it looked too much like Sam was drinking an actual BEER (because root beer bottles are so dark, like beer bottles). So, I had Chris, our prop master, bring us all different kinds of root beer bottles, but every one we tried looked too much like Sam was holding a real BEER bottle in her hand. That's why I decided to switch to the lighter colored cream soda, because I wanted t make sure that no kids thought Sam was drinking beer.

• "Walk and rub... just walk and rub" –Samantha Puckett

*** Scene 7 ***
Scene begins in Carly's apartment with Carly coming downstairs to talk to Spencer about the air-conditioner.

• I love how Miranda ("Carly") says, "This place is full of elderlies!" As you've probably noticed, we iCarly writers enjoy taking the English language and sort of twisting it... creating odd but fun dialogue that no one would probably really say in real life.

• Poor, poor Peter Penguin. No Penguin deserves to be squashed by the butt of an "elderly".

• Listen closely for a reference to the classic TV sitcom Happy Days. Let me know if you catch it! (Comment below.)

• Check out the conversation between Lewbert and Mrs. Benson about what happened in the episode iHurt Lewbert.

• Let me know if you ever hear of another TV show in which you hear the line, "You popped my wart!" But what I might love even more is the line that Mary Scheer ("Mrs. Benson") AD-LIBBED right after it, when she said, "Grow a new one!" I never even noticed she said that until I got into editing. Mary is so funny!

• One thing we call all learn from this episode: If you're a guy, never let Chuck get near you with a rolled up magazine. N E V E R. You've been warned, guys.

• When everyone runs out in the middle of Carly's speech, you hear someone yell "Stupid speech!" That's me. :)

• I don't want to spoil the ending of this episode, so I'll just say that it involves Carly's Utopian society model. When you see it, I think you'll find it very funny – whether you've ever seen a Godzilla movie or not. But if you have seen a Godzilla movie, you'll find it even funnier. If you're a kid or teenager, ask your parents. :)

"iBeat The Heat" & "Survival Of The Hottest" - SATURDAY!

Two A-MAZING episodes of iCarly and Victorious are coming your way TONIGHT (SATURDAY)!!!

The iCarly episode is called iBeat The Heat (on at 8:00 PM)

The Victorious episode is called Survival Of The Hottest (on at 9:00 PM)

I can almost promise that these will be two of your fave iCarly and Victorious episodes EVER.

Both episodes are very special in their own way. I'll explain why, but first, PLEASE HELP THE ME AND THE OTHER WRITERS OF iCARLY AND VICTORIOUS SETLLE A BET! :)

We (the writers) got together yesterday and started debating which, SO FAR, have been the FUNNIEST episodes of iCarly and Victorious ever -- it was an intense debate! (Doritos were thrown.) Anyway, we now want to know what YOU, the fans, think are the funniest episodes of iCarly and Victorious that have aired so far. Not the "best" -- the FUNNIEST -- the ones that made you LAUGH the most. Let us know by commenting below! Okay, now... let's talk about the new episodes that air tomorrow night...

iBeat The Heat is unique because you're going to see MANY GUEST STARS from PREVIOUS iCarly episodes. These include:

"Griffin" – Carly's bad boy (ex-boyfriend) who's obsessed with Pee Wee Babies.

"Dr. Dresdin" – the doctor from iFight Shelby Marx who gave Spencer allergy medications that caused bizarre, random side effects.

"Marty Klemish" the Bushwell neighbor from "iEnrage Gibby" who hugs Carly, consoling her about Spencer's death (of course, Spencer was only reported to be dead).

"Chuck" – the evil 6th grade boy who lives in Bushwell Plaza and constantly torments Spencer.

And even both Lewbert and Mrs. Benson! You get to see them deal with their awkward breakup that happened in "iHurt Lewbert". Fun stuff!

And you get to meet a NEW GIRL named SABRINA who Freddie has a little crush on. :)

iBeat The Heat is a very funny iCarly episode that I think you'll love. And the cherry on top are the great past iCarly guest characters who make it all extra fun.

Survival Of The Hottest is (maybe) my favorite Victorious episode so far. I showed it to my wife Lisa, and I've never seen her laugh harder at any of my shows, ever!

That's why I'm so excited for you to see Survival Of The Hottest – just because of the episode's pure comedy horsepower. Victoria and the rest of the cast are SMOKIN' HILARIOUS in it. And you'll get to see: Sinjin almost drown… Cat with some super-hot guys… a little tribute to the movie Ghost... Robbie drinking filthy fish tank water… Jade having a nervous breakdown… a FIGHT between Tori and Trina… and tons more. Oh, and you get to see Robbie throw up... ya know, if you're into that kinda thing. ;)

Hey hobos! Dan Schneider here. I'm posting excerpts here from a new article (June 25, 2010) by reporter Chuck Barney of the Contra Costa Times. I really enjoyed talking with Chuck. Great guy! You can read his entire article by clicking here.

The title of Chuck's article is "Some parents not ashamed to admit they like tweet TV shows".

Chuck's writes about how shows (including iCarly and Victorious), which are mainly aimed at kids, have become more of a FAMILY viewing experience. I totally agree with Chuck, because I hear from people age 18 to 80 all the time that they watch iCarly and Victorious and really enjoy them.

Chuck intervied a woman named Karen Moss (a parent) who said...

[Karen] sat down to watch an episode of Nickelodeon's tween series, "iCarly." Much to her surprise, she didn't feel the urge to run screaming from the room.

Now, Moss is a loyal devotee of the show starring Miranda Cosgrove as a girl with her own webcast. Even when Sara is off at a slumber party or otherwise engaged, she'll occasionally check out "iCarly" on her own. And, yes, she's not ashamed to admit that her iPod contains a few episodes.

"It's funny and smart, and safe without being cheesy," Moss says. "I really enjoy it. Does that make me pathetic?"

I don't think it makes her pathetic at all! That's why I wrote THIS BLOG MYSELF (read it later, if you want).

Chuck's article went on to say...

According to Nielsen, "iCarly" is one of several current TV shows aimed at tweens (kids 8-13), but also watched by people who don't wear braces or use Clearasil. An "iCarly" special earlier this year ("iSaved Your Life") drew a remarkable audience of 12.4 million, 2.7 million of whom were adults ages 18-49. Even "Glee" star Jane Lynch is a fan, giving the show a recent shout-out while reciting her wedding vows.

That's true! We were all excited when we read that Jane Lynch is a fan of iCarly – we're fans of her, too!!!

Chuck's article went on to mention me (which was very nice of him). He wrote...

This kind of "iCarly" love among grown-ups is not a news flash to creator and executive producer Dan Schneider. He says he routinely hears from "older teens, college kids, parents and grandparents" who enjoy the show and are "incredulous" that they do. He insists they shouldn't be.

"I've said from the start that I'm not going to write kiddie sitcoms. I write what I like and just adapt (to the genre)," Schneider says. "So it's interesting to me when adults watch our show and suddenly find themselves saying, 'This doesn't suck.'"

My other favorite parts of Chuck's article said this:

"It's kind of a new and refreshing trend," says Dana Ewing, senior strategic planner for The Geppetto Group, a New York-based youth marketing firm. "It's a move back to the all-family type programming that the (broadcast) networks, for some reason, abandoned. These kinds of shows come with themes that are relatable and relevant to more than just the kids."

For Moss, "iCarly" has fulfilled that mission. A web designer, she appreciates the fact that Cosgrove's character is tech-savvy. But what she really embraces are the "positive messages" the series imparts to her daughter.

"It shows that girls can be funny and smart and leaders, too," she says. "It's not just about shopping and boys and the way you look. Carly is no bimbo."
